Trapped in a dark, Victorian city consumed by an ancient curse, you must plan your survival and daring escape using nothing but stealth, an arsenal of eccentric weapons, and your wit in this haunting adventure inspired by the immersive sims and survival horror greats of the late 90s and early 2000s.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
About
Gloomwood is a stealth horror FPS that follows your mysterious abduction to a forgotten, twisted Victorian metropolis in the midst of a horrifying transformation. Wield your canesword and take to the shadows as you uncover the accursed mystery hidden within the fog.
The producers of DUSK, AMID EVIL, ULTRAKILL and FAITH bring you a frightening, gothic immersive sim full of haunted streets, dark tunnels and decadent mansions.
An intricate, hand-crafted city with freeform exploration - from towering rooftops down to hidden passages, the routes you take and paths you make, are your choice.
A detailed stealth and sound system that tracks your light visibility and propagates noise accurately through the world. Tread lightly. Or prepare to get loud.
A unique arsenal to meet any situation - a stealthy canesword, six-shot revolver, folding shotgun, hand-placed traps, rope-slinging harpoon rifle and more.
In-depth player interactivity, from leaning to eavesdrop, peeking through door cracks, checking the bullets in your firearms and mantling onto ledges.
A mob of ghastly denizens and monsters with acute senses, like the sharp-clawed Crowmen and the fearsome, cadaver-seeking Corpse Duster.
Gloomwood is full of objects to pick up, throw, climb, smash and use to your advantage.
There is more to this city than you can possibly imagine...

i love the style, weapons, characters, though the gameplay is a bit annoying with its stealth mechanics as sometimes i'd get spotted through the crack of a doorway, or i'd lure someone in and either have them run to my exact hiding spot or when i attempt to backstab they turn around immediately with no warning, but compared to everything else its worth it

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 22: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.14/day in the week to Jul 26 → 4.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Gloomwood promotes itself as an immersive sim. To me that means being creative in your playthrough. I want to think “is that possible?” and then be happy when it is. But this game simply doesn’t deliver on that front. Don’t get me wrong. I do believe this game is worth playing for other reasons. It’s fun for one; The level design has plenty of little mini stories and puzzles in it. There’s generally enough variety in enemy types to keep things interesting. The atmosphere is fantastic! These are what kept me going throughout my playthrough. I want to know more about where I am and what’s going on in this place. I want to explore different paths around the same places and get all the little secrets. I wanted to sneak around and backstab a bunch of bad guys. And I did! Way too much so! That is where things actually started falling a little flat for me. Despite how damn good the vibes are, the gameplay itself doesn’t really hold up right now. To me it generally felt like I had 3 options. A: I sneak around, distract and backstab everyone. B: I blast down everyone with whichever gun I have at my disposal. Or C: A mix of both. Which really just means I failed to sneak and stab, then shotgun blast the guy I agro’d and hide again in order to continue sneaking. AND THAT’S IT! That’s the game! I want more options. I want to be able to knock enemies unconscious! (imagine a full pacifist run). I want more and smaller gadgets to place in their paths and kill them with it. I want to chuck a pickaxe at someone and actually have it do damage and stick in them as they chase me. Imagine combining the two things I just mentioned and how I could use that. That’s the kind of gameplay I want in an immersive sim like this. There were moments in this game where I genuinely thought I was being led to do something cool and creative that ultimately led nowhere. Case in point: (minor spoiler) In Hightown there’s a spot where you’re directly above someone on a wooden platform with some nice looking bricks next to you. Well, 1+1=2 right? Throw a brick on his head!.. WRONG! It doesn’t kill them and a knockout system doesn’t exist. Instead, it does minor damage and agro’s 2 of them nearby! Come on man! What limited options I do get that aren’t “shoot everything” felt even further limited by the somewhat lacking loot in the latter half of the game so far. What mostly irked me is that the store only sells a select few item types. The thing I wanted to use at some point, a baton bolt for the flare pistol, I could not use. I ran out completely and there was no option to purchase them. Hell I literally spent an hour backtracking across the entire game(!) to try and find some to no avail. I could go on and on about minor inconveniences and all. But you get the idea. This isn’t as much of an immersive sim as it is a survival horror game. I will say it once more though! Despite my personal feelings about the imsim part, it’s a fun game! You’re guaranteed to get dragged along by the vibes thanks to the music, sound and level design. Some moments are really set up perfectly to tense you up good. I was so scared at the start of the Hive level! Play this game for that reason if anything. Also this doesn’t fit anywhere in my review but the first person animations are really good. I love the little flick you give the Flashbomb when you first get it :P
One of the best immersive sims to date. One of my favorite games already.
Yeeeeep it'll scratch that itch. That Dishonored, Thief, itch. Yknow the one where the world feels somewhat alive. Or at least *lived in.* ImSim vibes. Good Bloodborne too. GloomWood blends direct yet dramatic mechanics to provide a surge of excitement. For example, traveling throughout an area until you find a lever and *click* secret tunnel near the start of the level, right under your nose or the controls to a gate. It's nothing new, but seeing how each shortcut falls into place making not only the immediate area but the whole city larger *and more easily traversed.* Or maybe getting a new tool and seeing how much of the world I wasn't aware of and how my perception changed. The world does a good job of telling stories naturally. Building connections, tunnels, environmental storytelling/posing, random holes in buildings, etc. Tack this on to some cosmic horror, Victorian hunter vibes with corpse recovery, testing, disposal.... and creating serums (to take on temporary "changes") while learning more about the beasts of this plagued city and the forces at play. If you're already interested in it, it's probably the type of game you'll like.
Edit: changing this to negative because the dev cried on twitter about people leaving negative reviews because of the attic area, stating he hates the attic and that he'd rather delete the attic so people can stop leaving negative reviews because of the attic. So I'm changing this to negative due to the attic. Hopefully, with enough negative reviews, he'll delete the attic. Maybe even the entire game. Which would make NewBlood's moronic slogan "we hate money" actually true for once.
i was genuileny so sad when i reached the end of the early access content. such an incredible game, great immersion and pacing. crank the difficulty and turn the lights off for the full experience.
full moon is bs, half moon is peak if ur a first time player. just disable quickaves.
Genuine Peak. I will glaze this game till the day i die. If you like Thief, Bloodborne and/or Lovecraftian Horror: Buy it. Great Atmosphere, Great Artstyle; Great Vibes. 11/10
