Glacier 3: The Meltdown

Seguramente en Wii sea entretenido pero en PC es horrible. Uno de los peores ports que he visto. Si alguien algún día por aburrimiento consigue que vaya con mando y le mete algún arreglillo, a lo mejor podría estar entretenido, ahora no.

I had this game in my account for years, I don't remember how I got it. After hearing this was the same team behind Flatout 3, I decided to give it a go, just for fun. I had no fun. This game worsened my depression, I swear. No option for screen resolution, forget about rebinding keys. The car handles like a brick tied to rope. I did not feel well enough to finish a single race. I always try to give a game a chance, but I don't think the developers made their part of the deal.

You know what? this game is not so bad compared to their newer games, especially flatout 3. but its still quite bad...

Wow this is just so Pathetic.

I had this game on the Wii when I was younger but the controls were so horrendous I never really played it. I was surprised to find it on Steam for less than a dollar. Initially on windows the contrast was so bad I could not play it but it seems to run on SteamOS flawlessly. So this game is not very good, the physics are arcade-y, there are only 8 tracks (16 if you count the reverse ones). I beat the game in less than an hour. There are also only 3 weapons (mines, rockets and primary). The game functions fine as a kart racer, but is super fast-paced. The entire story is just 4 race tournaments. There are a few challenges as well to unlock new cars. The biggest pro of this game is the soundtrack. The music is unique and fits well within the design of the game. If you like flash-style battle racers you may enjoy this for an hour, but I would def get it on sale for less than a dollar. I just do not understand how this game never got fleshed out more with so many people working on it. This feels more like an alpha game content wise.

Co mogę powiedzieć? Gra jest na znacznie wyższym poziomie niż Glacier 2. Ciekawsze mapy, bardziej pasujące do tematu gry auta, itp. Oczywiście, jest to niskobudżetowy tytuł i ma swoje problemy, natomiast nie są aż tak wnerwiające jak w Glacierze (2006, oryginalna gra) czy w sequelu, typu "forced-lift" z G1 albo ledwie skręcające auta z G2, chociaż dalej zalicza się pod shovelware. Zalety: -Szybka, nienudząca się, -Tryb wyzwań, -Niezła grafika jak na Team6, -Trasy nie wyglądają źle, -Kilka typów broni (miny-broń automatyczna-rakiety), gdzie broń automatyczna na każdym aucie jest inna, -Muzyka, która nie jest zbytnio irytująca. Wady: -Gra jest zdecydowanie za krótka, story mode+wyzwania zajmują godzinę, -Oprócz głośności muzyki i wszystkiego innego razem wziętego, ABSOLUTNA PUSTKA w ustawieniach, -Prawdopodobnie grawitacja jest za wysoka, co powoduje, że auta są zdecydowanie za długo w powietrzu, -Wciśnięcie strzałki w prawo lub w lewo powoduje zakręt o 90 stopni, -Zawieszenie aut jest denerwująco miękkie (skacze na najniższych wybojach jak powalone), -AI jest albo głupie, albo Maxem Verstappenem. -Przeciwnicy mają za słabe auta pod względem wytrzymałości. -Mimo tego, że jest napisane "Story mode", gra żadnej historii nie ma. -Ustawienia mimo zmian nie przechodzą na grę, czy w Autoexec.cfg, czy w DefaultInput0.cfg. -Niektóre auta mają srogo poroniony wygląd (bo kto normalny miesza Lancera Evo X z Saleenem S7?). Podsumowując? Brakuje gier tego typu, dlatego nie ma do czego zbytnio porównywać. Glacier 3 jest... Grywalny. 5/10 może być. Gra ma potencjał, ale... Team 6. Tyle mam do powiedzenia.
