i've bought all the Gizmo games and i've really enjoyed them, but if you're a completionist do not get this entry in the series unless you're prepared to idle the game as your primary window a lot. the developer severely overestimated the time a player would spend to solve these puzzles and as a result there are 50 hour playtime and 100 hour playtime cheevos that are unable to be gotten organically while playing. my own playtime is inflated by me purposefully leaving the game running while i walked off just to try and get the 50hr cheevo at least. obviously that didn't work, because i have at least nine more hours according to the in-game clock to "play" just to get that one. i estimate that i have probably four to five hours of idle inflation, so you can expect to solve all available puzzles in well under forty hours if you go at a steady clip. I AM STILL GIVING THIS A POSITIVE RECOMMENDATION because this is a perfectly fine picross game to play and compliments the other Gizmo games very well. if you're just in it for the puzzles, then give this one a try, you won't waste your time.

I own all of the other "Gizmos" titles in the series thus far, and picked this up without hesitation on its release date. If I had to sum up "Gizmos: Interstellar Voyage" in one word.. that word would be: "WOW!". This has quickly become my favourite griddler game! What I love about this game: -the auto-fill feature once a line is completed (this is in all of the "Gizmos" titles, and can be turned off in settings). -the jigsaw puzzle mini-games (which you can opt to skip.. and if you do skip it then that level becomes another nonogram puzzle instead of a jigsaw puzzle.. meaning you don't "lose" a level of gameplay). -the puzzles have a timed mode.. where you can earn different medals depending on how well you do (you can also change it to relaxed mode should you not like having it timed). -at the end of each puzzle, in timed mode, it shows your time compared to other players, as well as the developers time. -there is a voiced story. -the colours are beautiful. -the pictures are beyond adorable. -enjoyable music and fun sounds (both can be turned down/off separately in settings). -you are able to select full screen or windowed mode. -sooooooo many levels. -great price. -there are Steam Achievements. -new to the series is that the blocks are different colours (this can also be turned off in settings). I HIGHLY recommend this game.. as well as the rest in the series!Thank you again Oleg Sereda for yet another fantastic game! I hope there are MANY more "Gizmos" games yet to come! <3
Listen, I know this looks like a weird subpar facebook game and the fact that it's locked at 1366x768 resolution doesn't help either. It is still, however, an awesome Picross game with a ton of content. Your starting puzzles are 15x10, and they go all the way up to 40x30 - this is much larger than your average Picross game, and the fact that there are 200 of such puzzles makes it a very content-rich game. I have plenty of experience with the genre and this still took me 40-50 hours to solve. I had to idle in offline mode to get the 100 hours achievement though (which somehow isn't reflected in my total playtime). Like many other games you get extra medals for solving levels without mistakes, without hints, and under the time limit. While time limits can be a little harsh in early smaller puzzles they become practically a non-issue later. Naturally, all puzzles can be solved without guessing - well, except for one which slipped through testing somehow, there's a small problem at the end but it can be forgiven, I mean 99.9% of it is good. Very challenging sometimes too, some puzzles took me a good while to solve. I would suggest disabling the multi-color feature though. The three previous games of these series are simply alright - they're not as great as some other Picross games but they still have enough content and QoL features to be decent. But this installment is better and worth playing. Maybe you should consider buying the whole bundle on a sale.
Всё бы ничего, но ачивка "просидеть в игре 100 часов" сделана для издевательства...
One of the better nonogram games on Steam. It has the features you need to properly play this game. Left click for a regular block, right click to put a negative block. You can drag accross the titles and it wont delete the previous blocks. It has a counter when you select multiple cells. And the biggest feature you can activate is that once the correct number of blocks are filled for a row or column the rest of the blocks are automatically put to negative blocks. Compared to the other 3 Gizmos games this game got a lot bigger puzzles which will keep you entertained for even longer. Besides having option to add color to the picture (doesnt affect gameplay) and different achievements the game is the same for the rest as the earlier games.
Great game, very challenging. Best suited for frequent nonogram players who want large difficult puzzles. Probably not suitable for young players. Took me about 47hrs to complete the game with all gold medals, which is a good amount of playtime but means I'll need to idle the game for another 53hrs to get the final achievements (play for 100 hrs). - Puzzles start off as 15x10 and increase in size as you move on to each "planet", ending with 40x30 size puzzles. - 20 levels/puzzles per planet. - You can save & exit in the middle of a nonogram, and resume it when you turn the game on again. - Occasional jigsaw puzzle is thrown in at the start of certain levels. I found this a bit irritating/difficult due to visibility issues, but they're very small and there's no time limit. - Hints are available, although I didn't use them so I'm not sure how well the system works. - The game is fairly forgiving. You can make multiple mistakes before you have to restart the level, but of course if you want the achievements you'll need to complete all levels without mistakes. - When you hover over a square the clues for that line & row are lit up slightly, but I wish it had been more noticeable (especially on the largest puzzles). - Autofill is optional. There are also other settings you can change; music, sfx, fullscreen, mute, disable voices, system cursor, background images, timed mode, and monochrome/multicolour images.
EDIT : I finally managed to make it work on Windows 11. Apparently, some C++ files were missing on the new windows version. The one that worked for me was "Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistribuable (x86)". If it can help anyone with this issue. Download it for free directly on the official Microsoft Website however, be careful. I'll also make a discussion topic with the solution, just in case. This review is going to serve as a warning for Windows 11 users. The game doesn't launch anymore. It worked perfectly on Win10 but since I changed PCs I can't for the life of me make it work. I wanted to finish it but most likely won't be able to. Other than that, it's great WHEN it works. Features from previous games are back and are still very good and very QoL. However, this one doesn't pull any punches by starting you with fairly big grids even on the first "world" and might be hard for beginners. I suggest getting your feet wet with Gizmo Steampunk as I feel like it's a little easier.
Nice and relaxing game!
