girabox is a minimalist puzzler where all you have to do is rotate the levels to make the square thing reach the goal, represented by a green star. simple concept in need of a bunch more polish. 73 levels to play in 7 packs, the last one is just one mega-level, pretty cool, and all of them are available from the get-go. there's a lot of timing involved, both via moving this and that and quick rotating to make things end up where they should. sometimes you have to control multiple squares, there are teleporters and buttons to open passages with or do some weird stuff to you or other blocks. each level can be completed in moves and time mode, and once the entire pack is done, you get a rating, but there's no info on requirements. controls are a mixed bag. all you need is the left and right arrows or 'a' and 'd', plus 'r' to restart, but 'e' is used to exit a level (esc does nothing) and 'f' and 'b' to switch between them without going back to level selection. not intuitive at all, nor are they mentioned anywhere and they can't be changed either. the mouse can be used to rotate levels as well, but I wouldn't recommend it. undo is not available, which is not a huge deal here, levels are mostly short. presentation and functionality could use some work as well. the move counter is often covered by parts of the level, would be better if it was a different color and was placed somewhere else, and the timer flickers all the time, like a broken neon sign, but it only starts when you make a move. then there's the menu, where everything is constantly pulsating, and while the keyboard can be used to navigate the various menu screens, you can't select an actual level with it. leaderboards are available, but you have to change level selection into 'leaderboard mode', opening and closing each level's individually. again, not intuitive at all. the leaderboard button should open leaderboard selection, where you could check out every level, instead of putting green circles on the big brown buttons and removing level selection functionality. you can change rotation speed (no reason to lower it from maximum) and turn off level rotation, which was a bit surprising, seeing as the whole game revolves around that mechanic. I didn't like it at all, but it might work for some and it's certainly less nauseating. there's a single volume slider, which isn't enough if you have both music and sound effects, and the full screen toggle produces a resizable window, there are no resolution options. you can choose from various languages, though english is represented by an american flag, which is not a language, as we know I have to mention the first video on the store page. it has all the info you might need about content, playtime, additional things to do, settings, price, but of course doesn't mention all the issues I found and the 'almost limitless' time you can spend with the game is a huge stretch as well. it takes about an hour and you might fiddle with move and/or time goals for a while and compete with random strangers on the leaderboards, but surely not until the end of time. I just went through the levels, not my kinda puzzler, so didn't try to optimize moves and I never bother with timed stuff, but it's okay for the price, especially if it gets fixed up a bit.

Fun little game with speedrunning aspects. See if you can beat my times? ;)
I don t really think you can call this a puzzle game and these are the words from the developer. Solve tightly-designed puzzles by rotating the world around you. Girabox is a minimalist puzzle game with an equally minimalist premise that allows for deep gameplay. So I play many puzzle games I bought this one because the description says that this is a puzzle game and you can argue that it has some puzzle elements but they are weak and not challenging at all.Maybe some speedrunners would have some satisfaction from playing this but the game has no value for me. The music is awful and I don't like the design of the game. All in all not a good game and you dont have to waste your time on this.
I really like this game, I have been there through the whole development journey and I'm so glad to see the results. The gameplay is so simplistic and that's what I really like about it. It's just a box in a room. That's the whole gameplay premise, but sometimes it goes as far to put you in a box inside another box inside a box inside yet another box which is absolutely mindblowing. From what I've played of the first day of release, there isn't anything I dislike about the game, just some bugs which are hopefully going to be fixed soon. Something I would really like is a level editor, being able to make your own Girabox levels and share them with the world sounds really fun. I really enjoy puzzle games and also speedrunning so if you like either of those things, this is the perfect game for you. With interesting mechanics and plot twists inside the levels, there will be a lot of fun held inside this game for people who are dedicated enough to get the special S-Ranks. Overall, this game is amazing for casual players and speedrunners alike. I would recommend you try this game, it doesn't cost that much, it's on sale for the first week of release, so why not give it a go?
s❤️❤️t hitbox and bugs and collision, garbage action puzzle game.
Game is awesome. Buy it
Great puzzle game. If you enjoy playing something chill game that requires some thinking, this is for you. The game is based around rotating your screen to make your box fall towards the goal. The option to try and beat each level fastest or in the least number of turns makes it fun to replay. The final level is the best, combining everything you have learned so far into one massive challenge. It took me a while for me to get used to the controls, I found it more intuitive for the screen to rotate the other way for some reason. Would recommend to anyone who is a fan of puzzle games to give Girabox a go.
Really clever idea. Really like how it has a move counter so that you can measure how efficiently you complete the puzzles. Very relaxing too (albeit sometimes a bit tricky).
it's a really fun game, nice community, can be played in a casual way or in a more competitive way with minimum moves and speedrun leaderboards, overall really fun!
