About
Inspired by games such as: Ready or Not, Ground Branch, CoD: Modern Warfare and Insurgency: Sandstorm. GERONIMO is a highly realistic, tactical and immersive CQB shooter that has been built from the ground up for Virtual Reality. Play Solo, or with your friends and carry out your operations through our missions, some even inspired by real world raids.
Whether deploying solo or with a full 6-player squad, Geronimo brings unforgiving tactical shooter gameplay into VR, where careful movement, clear communication, and calculated teamwork are essential. Train with your team in dedicated practice environments, including shooting ranges with dynamic targets and customizable killhouses built for refining your tactics before the real mission begins.
In GERONIMO, your equipment is built around how you want to operate. Shape your operator’s look, choose your clothing and armor, then fine-tune your weapons and rig with a high level of control. Position pouches where they make sense, configure your vest for the role you’re playing, and set up each weapon platform with the attachments and layout that fit your style.
Every choice has a practical impact once you’re in VR. A heavier setup can slow you down and make long engagements more demanding. Poor optic placement can make target acquisition harder. A full-length rifle may give you reach in open spaces, but become awkward when clearing tight rooms. Your loadout is not just cosmetic — it defines how you move, fight, and survive.
Every weapon is built with a focus on physical interaction, mechanical detail, and believable handling in VR. Firearms are not treated as simple props — they are systems you manipulate by hand, with actions such as manual bolt locking, magazine changes, charging, and slide operation designed to feel deliberate and responsive.
A high level of animation and interaction work supports each weapon platform, from carefully authored hand poses to moving parts that behave as expected during operation. Slides cycle with accurate barrel movement, controls are placed and handled with intention, and small details are modeled so that using a weapon feels tactile rather than abstract. The result is a gunplay system where precision, familiarity, and muscle memory matter.
Sharpen your skills outside of live missions with dedicated IPSC-style courses and a range of killhouse options built for practice, speed, and friendly competition. Run timed shooting challenges to test accuracy under pressure, compare routes with teammates, and refine the fundamentals that matter most in VR: target acquisition, weapon handling, movement, and control.
Killhouses offer a more tactical way to train, with layouts suited for room clearing, angles, communication, and close-quarters decision-making. Whether you are warming up before an operation, drilling with your squad, or competing for the fastest clean run, Geronimo gives players flexible training spaces where improvement is measurable and rivalry stays friendly.

one of the best tactical vr shooters out. cant wait to see more from this amazing team and i cant wait to put more hours in it
First of all it has alot potential BUT Some Basics are not functional including: -Horrible perfromance (even with a 5080) -Hand based movement esp. in combination with Gunstock it feels horrible -Main Weapon position is to high and drives me crazy when holstered -Gunstock Calibration is atm trash. Example: My front hand is slightly to the left to avoid any tracking issue's. Sadly after the "calibration" my Gun is pointing always to the left but my gun should point in the same direction i calibrated it, so the angle is always ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. (i think for a immersion Game like this gunstock calib should be functional) -All AI Enemys blast you through door's (90% of the game is clearing CQB closed doors) so i died 9 out of 10 through a door, thats legit the most unfun way to die. -The Helmet Cam need more options. Main issue here is the aggressive film grain which looks cool but when it comes to streaming/recording it will kill your encoder (means its very hard to stream in a good quality) A slider 1%- 100% film grain would solve this. -Reloading feels kinda clucky -Hostage's are running Jumpscares I hope the Dev will adress the problems above because, i wanna turn this into a Positiv.
Has potential, give it 6 months. Customization is good, needs some work, should be able to rotate gear to put things on sides, back easier. no 40 round magazines for mp7 :/ doors are difficult to interact with, no save option for weapon builds, lighting at night needs MAJOR rework.
You ever clear a mud hut while hip firing a bolt action sniper with 7 different scopes 2 bipods and 3 foregrips? Cause I have, And you wish you were me. Oh also had 17 flash bangs on me, just incase I saw a child with a firearm.
Four years and.. yikes. Gun handling and customisation is great, I have no complaints minus the fact you are forced to use trigger to interact. Everything else is.. not great. Feels like a major major downgrade from the previews we got during development. Looks worse, sounds worse. Graphics look Quest level, makes sense considering they're going to port to Quest, still disappointing. AI is also next to braindead, a far cry from the dynamic AI they initially promised which could hide under beds or in closets. Current AI just stands and shoots the moment they detect you. I wonder what happened during these years of development. Doesn't look like much from where I'm standing. Can't recommend in its current state, unless you like faffing about with helpless AI. If you do choose to buy it, know that you're buying a tech demo, not a game.
The game as of writing this is fairly buggy and needs some optimization, but those problems will be fixed soon. If you want a good tactical VR shooter not made by a Pedo, this is your game. It is unironically so fun. Single player and multiplayer are both extremely fun as well. My game runs perfectly on all low settings and its only shadows that hurt performance if i turn them up at all, i could set the rest to medium and nothing would change much.
Thank you for not touching kids 10/10 would play again
Come back when its done.
so I've only played for about 16 minutes or so and It's nearly unplayable. This game definitely has the potential to be amazing but I don't think it's currently worth it. Unless you have like 32gb of RAM and a 4090, this game might run poorly. The tutorial is also pretty misleading, as it just takes you to a sandbox style outdoor range. It doesn't tell you how to do anything. I don't think one should buy a game based on the future, but considering the fact that this game is in early access, I'm sure updates will be somewhat frequent. if any of the devs read this, PLEASE make this game run better on lower-end devices. I'm giving this game the benefit of the doubt due to it being new, In conclusion; I recommend this game to those who are willing to invest in this game. It definitely has the potential to be amazing. but it 100% isn't that currently, with it's performance state. If the game is on sale, also recommend it.
