The Nazis are going to commit the first combat launch of FAU-2. The USSR and the USA got a concrete intel about the position of the missile and its technical data. The weapon of hell is hidden somewhere inside a german fortress, called "The Beast".

Welcome to German Fortress 3D, an archaic first person shooter set in a few flat rooms full of snipers so far away, you'll never see them before you're dead. Its downfalls are common with this first-person shooter engine. Horizontal rooms, no cover, bland gameplay and enemies that are cardboard cutouts always facing you. The snipers are typical soldiers dressed in black, but have deadly precision. They begin peeling off health in an instant. To be hilarious, the game starts you with a knife which works fine, but they give you a shotgun... an empty shotgun. Oh but it gets better, once you murder your first Nazi soldier, he drops ammunition... that does nothing. In fact a lot of the ammunition dropped does nothing to replenish your supply. Once you have ammunition, your weapon fires a slow projectile rather than a hit scan weapon indicative of the genre. The slow projectile gives enemies a chance to side step your fireball that bellows from the barrel of your ineffective weapon. After playing ten minutes, I never made it past a few cement grey rooms before getting mowed down. There is no cover. I came across a single health box that looked like it was taken from Doom. The entire game has free assets that hearken back to that early 90s first-person shooter. The catch is the game it's paying homage to has depth, fun and color. All you'll find in German Fortress 3D are grey walls and black Nazi soldiers... What is this game in grey scale? Well, I guess the swastikas are red, so there must be color. There was no fun here in the game. It's a hostile game and every small bit of movement without death is an achievement. Sure there is a save and load, but the problem is the enemies will still shoot you long before your projectiles will ever reach them. The mouse sensitivity is another issue, it lacks the speed necessary to turn corners easily. If you want to get serious about playing the game, it's best to face the wall of a corner and strafe out. That will give you a chance to access your foes without getting killed. These complaints can be copy / pasted to all the other games that use this simple engine. This feels like it's the worst out of the games that use it. The others have their own art, better enemy design and levels that are fun. For those that care, you'll find no achievements, cards, quality or effort put into German Fortress 3D. It's obvious from the gameplay that the game doesn't want you to play. Please avoid it. There are better first-person shooters on a horizontal plane.
This is a terrible FPS that looks like Wolfenstein 3D, released 25 years too late. The controls are strange, can't change weapons with the number keys. The enemies are constantly draining the player's health if they see you, even from behind a corner. Your gun shoots a slowly flying orb, but funnily enough uses the same ammo as the bad guys. The level design is uninspired, just a maze. The saved games in the menu don't even show what is saved (if anything) in the save position. I really do like indie game developers, but I can't recommend spending money on this. If the developers spent more time and love polishing this game, it might have been a fun retro title.
germans!
THIS GAME IS A SH!T STEAM GREENLIGHT ASSETFLIP!
German Fortress 3D is an asset flip made with the godawful Raycasting Game Maker engine used to generate cheap ripoffs of Wolfenstein 3D, from the Russian shovelware pushers, Ghost_RUS. Gameplay consists of simple single plane FPS shooting sprite based enemies on small 2D levels, just like Wolf3D. But this is worse than your avergae Wolf3D clone made with Raycasting Game Maker, becuase the "developer" here did some minor changes to the actual sprites from Wolf3D and used those as well... I'm sure iD software regrets open sourcing Wolf3D after this garbage. This is pretty dishonest, disingenuous stuff, it's just another nasty Russian cash grab. Worth mentioning, of course, that you can play Wolf3D for free, but this has a price tag on it... so they ripped off someone else's free game using a crap construction kit and they want your money for it. The Raycasting Game Maker engine is garbage. It has oversensitive mouse settings, so if you use the mouse to steer, you will just flip around endlessly with zero control. However, you must use the mouse to shoot, so the game is effectively unplayable. This is no different from any other game made with this engine. It's garbage. Also, like every other Raycasting Game Maker asset flip, resolution and controls are locked and can't be changed, and the graphics horrible, low resolution "pixel" trash. It's pure trash, and while the intent of the construction kit was to make small games to pass around with friends, and to teach some aspects of game making, unethical developers will dump the games on Steam as cash grabs. Like German Fortress 3D. I used to think things like GameMaker Studio and RPG Maker were the worse game construction kits for allowing talentless "developers" to make "games". Actually, they still are, no matter how bad or unplayable this trash is. Regardless, you can play Wolf3D for free, and it's better than this. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 4 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from (over 9,000 completely free titles), the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. German Fortress 3D has the scam price of $3 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend. While game reviews must be about the game, as this review has been, it's sometimes important for gamers to be aware when there's problems with the developers. In this case, Nikita "Ghost_RUS", a Russian shovelware scam artist who routinely abuses Steam by polluting the marketplace with shovelware like this game. Nikita "Ghost_RUS" continually sends a message of racism, bigotry, homophobia and hate speech through his games, in direct violation of Valve's guidlines for acceptable game content. You can read more about it in this article by the Sentinels of the Store curator group. This is something I feel potential customers should be aware of for two reasons. First, I understand completely that gamers may not want to buy games with such horrible, antihumanitarian messages of hate such as games from Nikita "Ghost_RUS". Secondly, gamers must be aware that if Valve decides to do the right thing and enforce their policy against hate speech and bigotry in games, games such as this will be banned. So, buying games from Nikita "Ghost_RUS" may be putting your money at risk.
