Worst game ever. Sometimes if you shoot the zombies in the head they die, sometimes they don't. Can't run and jump and one big area has a wooden bridge you must cross with about 50 zombies below. Since you can't run and jump you can't make it across the broken sections of the bridge and you fall into the pit with the 50 zombies, fun , fun ,fun........rinse repeat. Glad I got the game for 65 cents, even that was too much. Also cant turn the music down so after the pounding bass beat hits your ears for the millionth time you have a headache anyway.
This game is another example of what I define a good indie product. Yes, you can still find several bugs here and there, but this is normal for an early access, and, above all, the dev is very active and professional, he is really doing his best to fix everything as soon as possible, as you can see from the already rich catalogue of updates. I have to make a confession about this. During my playthrough, I found several game-breaking bugs, and, since I was enjoying the game and I was seeing a lot of potential, I immediately contacted the dev and informed him about them. I admit I have been very harsh at the third bug I found, maybe even unpolite, because I really cared about this game, and I was upset because my progress was halted. The dev soon answered, and he has been very very professional: not only he fixed ALL the bugs (now the game can be correctly completed, I made that sure), but he even asked me to accept his apologies! I really appreciate this professional behavior, and now I am very glad I kept playing till the end of the game, because overall I had truly fun during my playthrough. As I always say, it doesn't matter if a game is bugged, it doesn't matter at all, the truly important thing is the effort that the devs put into fixing all the problems, and into listening to the constructive feedback of the community. That's why this is undoubtedly a thumbs up, I definitely want to reward this person for his efforts and his kindness. BUT! What about the game itself, Luli? Do you give thumbs up just because the dev is professional? Of course not! It would not be fair towards the potential customers. I give thumbs up because the game is certainly very good. George is a nicely built horror shooter, which offers a lot of fun and interesting features, specifically: - a surprising longevity: you may think the price is excessive, but I 100% guarantee that it is largely justified by the totally unexpected length of the game, which will keep you busy for hours and hours. I have seen much shorter shooters which cost MUCH more money, so don't worry about that, it is a good investment; - a high variety of real-world weapons which give a good feedback to the player; - a surprisingly high variety of enemies: during your adventure you will fight many many many creatures, which will vary not only in strength and speed, but also in aesthetics. I noticed the dev used several purchased assets, but I also noticed that he reworked many of them for the sake of variety and originality. The same enemy type comes with several different looks, and I guarantee that these creatures are really cool-looking, they will give you nightmares! - several boss fights; - a neatly crafted horrific world with its own lore and its own atmosphere; I was impressed by the effort the dev put into building his sci-fi horror story, which also connects with the myths and folklore of the mountains the adventure is set in. Also, the truly spooky atmosphere gave me shivers in more than one occasion: it is genuinely scary to slowly proceed in deep darkness amongst all sorts of snarls and hisses coming from all around you, anticipating God knows what kind of abominations! - finally, a high variety of locations and puzzles: during your adventure, you will roam through tunnels, woods, caves, bunkers, and much more, and you will have to solve different kinds of puzzles, some even pretty tricky! Overall, George is a fun, engaging and entertaining indie horror shooter I definitely recommend to all fans of this genre. If we give to this dev the trust and the support he deserves, I'm sure he will keep improving his product, and he will turn it into a little cult of the indie horror landscape. One last thing: the game is well optimized, it runs smoothly even on my potato, so don't worry if your machine is a bit outdated. And that's all folks! Now it's up to you to decide if you feel to invest your money, your time and your trust on this little but promising project. I personally suggest you do, but of course the decision is yours. As always, I simply hope my review and my opinion will be useful to all of you! Cheers guys!
Honestly a fun game. Fair few bugs that could be fixed and i heard the combat was bad but i didn't really expect nothing more or less then what i played. Best part for me was a stone loaf in a fridge and the texture for the food jars, peak.

I enjoyed myself, pretty spooky and fun. Combat is pretty bad, so cheesing enemies is a must sometimes. I did beat the game as well. I liked how the game was pretty long and you got a variety of weapons. Overall, I'd recommend.
Nice ! Begins rough and janky, but as it progresses it gets better and better. Has remap keys, that's a great plus, and found zero bugs/problems. Doesn't lose the jankiness completely, but achieves many well done memorable moments. Started to play and didn't stop till I finished it, that says something. Glad to have played, and may replay it in the future. Disclosure: 70 y.o. gamer, use my own Cheat Engine tables in every game, so my playing isn't the usual (health, ammo, items). And I use always run -not walk- with glovepie.exe.
To the point. The movement is awful. The driving is terrible. The combat is dreadful. Barely an hit registration on your end. The enemies do around 80% damage in 1 hit. Interaction with the environment is bad. Items aren't picked up, doors aren't opened. Fix the combat and it's playable. Right now, it's abysmal... Horrendous. Disastrous. Detestable.
