Game itself is fine, but the removal of previously included options such as split screen hurt the game. otherwise looks good sounds good and plays good. a far cry better than the Halo campaign evolved horror show.

Après Halo et Forza Horizon, voir arriver Gears of War, l’une des meilleures saga « Xbox » sur Steam est un véritable régal. Je ne vais pas me lancer ici dans une review du jeu : tout a déjà été dit et écrit à propos de ce titre fondateur du cover TPS. Il reste, aujourd’hui encore, un monument du genre. Je ne vais pas non plus me prononcer sur le mode en ligne. Mise à part la campagne en coop, qui est un réel plaisir et super drôle, j’ai toujours trouvé que Gears se prêtait assez mal au jeu en ligne. C’est comme pour Uncharted : ce n’est juste pas marrant ni fait pour. Ca reste mon avis, ne menacez pas ma famille dans les commentaires. En l’état, ce remaster de Gears of War tourne non seulement parfaitement sur PC mais est, cerise sur le gâteau, irréprochable sur Steam Deck. C’est d’autant plus appréciable que la structure du jeu, découpée en actes et chapitres très courts, est parfaitement adaptée à des sessions portables. On pourrait juste regretter que, justement, la partie multijoueur ne soit pas dissociée de la campagne, nous obligeant à installer presque 80 gigas. Pour le reste, j’ai lu quelques critiques quand à la liaison avec un compte Xbox Live mais, pour le coup, non seulement je ne trouve pas que ce soit un défaut, car il s’agit juste d’un compte et non d’un launcher, mais en plus il synchronise les sacro-saints succès, pour ceux qui aiment ça. Moi j’aime bien. Gears of Wars : Reloaded, est donc une réussite aussi bien ludique que technique et il me réconcilie un peu avec Xbox qui, il faut bien le dire, fait quand même n’importe quoi en ce moment ! Espérons la sortie des épisodes 2, 3 et Judgment (mais surtout le 2 !).
