great game
If you're a fan of demanding and immersive economic simulators, you probably know how few games in this genre are truly worth your attention. GearCity is one of those rare exceptions. It’s a comprehensive automotive industry economic simulator that lets you step into the role of a car manufacturer and lead your company from 1900 all the way to the present day. You design engines, chassis, gearboxes, and complete vehicles; create brands; build factories; and develop a global sales network. On top of that, you manage marketing, take on government contracts, and can even run your own racing teams. The game simulates the entire global automotive market, so you operate in a constantly competitive environment. You can buy and sell shares of rival companies, acquire other manufacturers, or issue stock for your own corporation. It’s also one of the few economic sims that actually provides a real challenge (especially on higher difficulty levels). And yes, eventually you’ll reach the point where you have more money than you can spend — but the automotive theme keeps the atmosphere engaging and the gameplay enjoyable. Since this is an economic simulator, you’ll spend most of your time adjusting sliders and analyzing spreadsheets. The game offers a huge number of options, so you’ll need to invest some time into learning how everything works. A small pro tip to finish: make sure you build a large financial cushion for World War II — and if you operate in Europe, for World War I as well.
This, is the best game for those who enjoy a challenge in keeping the lights on, being the best maker for around the track, in the shipyard, for the army. although you arnt playing them you can still have a service to provide. 10/10
