Gato Roboto feels good to play. Movement is clean and responsive, and the game stays locked at 60 fps without any issues. Using a low latency gamepad makes everything snap in a way that feels right. The sound effects are easily the best part. They give every action a satisfying punch, and the music adds this dark, dreamlike atmosphere that works surprisingly well with the monochrome look. The minimalist art style fits the game. I didn’t care for the alternate palette options. The default palette feels perfect. Switching between the mech suit and the cat adds a nice change in pace during exploration. Level design is decent, though it could have used more variety, and one area had some annoying backtracking. Difficulty stays fair. The final boss took a bit of figuring out, but once the strategy clicked it felt good to beat. The game is short, and it left me wanting more, even though I knew going in that it wasn’t a long experience. My takeaway is simple. Strong sound and music can elevate a minimalist pixel art game into something that feels surprisingly satisfying. Gato Roboto is a compact Metroidvania that gets the important things right.

Conforme você vai progredindo no jogo, ele vai ficando cada vez melhor. Não curto metroidvania, mas esse aqui tá recomendadíssimo.
Очень веселая игруля с необычным саундом, графикой, главным героем, да вообще всем! Если есть проблемы со сложностью боссов, то есть довольно простые для заучивания спидраннерские трюки которые скипают их ВСЕХ (кроме финальных). Оттого и на платину игру проходить весело, и спидранить ее тоже нереально круто! Даже со спотыканиями на пути и неидеальным отточением всего в игре, можно пробежать ее за меньше чем за 40 минут!
