Garden Buddies

I wasn't sure whether to make this a positive or negative review but after some big brain power thinking I have came to a decision. The only good thing about this game was the concept and the mini games, but it crashed on me after every mini game. I would not recommend anyone to buy this game at full price, luckily I didn't. To be quite honest, I wouldn't buy this game if it costs more than £3. I'm not sure if it's just me but the characters which are supposed to be cute, I didn't find them cute or interesting. In my opinion the cutest and most interestingly designed character was the rock. The garden area was super small and I didn't like the blurriness outside the garden (zooming in and out) it messed with my vision a bit. I would gather this game is aimed at primary school children, which is great but again.. not for the price. Big thumbs down. I finished the game in under an hour. I expected more for the price. I feel sad. This was meh meh meh meh. - DO NOT BUY THIS GAME AT FULL PRICE -

Garden Buddies is a simple and short game that you can finish in about an hour, achievements included. There isn’t much story, and you have little control over how things play out. It doesn’t seem worth the full price. It’s better to wait for a sale, if you're considering it.

This game is so cute! If you are feeling down or you are in need of a cutesy game that needs little thinking then this is your game. The achievements are also extremely easy. Love the character designs and and mini games. The only down side is that it is very very short xx

Incredibly short game with vapid dialog and hollow gameplay (made for children) that crashes between loading screens and needs to be force-quit and restarted to progress. There are QA testers listed in the credits but this has been reported by many other players; I am not sure how something so basic was overlooked. If you're looking to build a lil sandbox garden and have your critter friends bop about try 'Cheeky Chooks' instead.

Short game that aims to inject some happiness and calmness into your day. Edit: Got rid of the parts of the review where I mentioned other games. Also Edit: Definitely succeeded in injecting happiness and calmness into my day, the game says a lot of very positive things to you and even has you do breathing exercises.

fun little game but crashes every other loading screen

[h1]2/10[/h1] The the text portions and the loading times are just way too long in this game, I quit, which is very sad because it looks very cute and I would've eaten this up if I could play it on my nintendo 3ds in 2012.

This game is very cute, with delightful characters, nice inclusion of mental health techniques like box breathing, and lots of play options. Unfortunately, the game crashes a lot (I had 4 crashes during my playthrough), it's very short, and is regretfully overpriced for what it is. If it's on sale for £1-4, I'd recommend giving it a go, but any higher and it's unfortunately overpriced.

DO NOT BUY THIS AT FULL PRICE. I will recommend it, since it's a cute little game when you get it for a buck like I did, but fifteen bucks is ridiculous. I'm yet to fully finish it, but that's thanks to the fact that I was trapped in loading screens a lot and even had to force quit the game at one point. It's a nice little experience for a buck or two, but for more than that it's too unstable and just not offering enough to make the full price feel justified.
