"東方菈菈队" is a rather garbage Unity "template" flip, basically a copy + paste + reskin of an arcade shoot 'em up template from Unity, and of course just like the "developer" didn't do any game development here, he also didn't do any art design or anything, it's all ripped off from Touhou (although because this is apparently not for profit, Junya Ota permits this kind of use of his IP to some degree).
Touhou skin aside, this is a really badly done, very mediocre shoot 'em up with no redeeming features or gameplay value for PC gamers. It's not as good as Galaga, despite being over 40 years more modern.
There's no English translation for the game, but that's okay. The language of bad games is universal.
This features really godawful, lazy retro/pixelcrap looking "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks bad because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded [i]despite[/i] the bad graphics, not because of them.
This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good.
Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 11 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away.
It's important to note that, despite this being such a low quality product, there's a number of positive reviews that all appeared immediately after the game launched, from suspiciously inactive Steam accounts that have reviewed almost no other games apart from this. Take the review score of this game with a grain of salt.
Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it?
Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
