Only a few hours in and I'm not feeling many positives. I can barely tell if I am hitting anything ever, It's unbelievably easy to get lost and navigating and searching isn't really fun to me when I am being barraged by countless enemies that are honestly too hard to see, the game is extremely dark and there's no brightness options, and oh my god i am incapable of getting past the level with the weird mouth horses, I can't find anywhere at all to go and the bridge mechanisms, if I am meant to operate them, are not doing anything and I can't for the life of me figure out where I should be going. First impressions were good, the intro especially, but the more I have played this game the less I like it. extremely unsatisfying guns and navigation is very bothersome. If I manage to get past that level I'll continue to the end because I don't like to hold an opinion on a game I've not finished (or at least tried to) but so far the game is very meh.
This is a very well executed boomer-shooter with some novel mechanics. I love the art style of body horror through retro googles and its supported well by the audio. Effects and music are a proper fit and encourage literally bouncing off the walls. Not super far in yet, but very much excited to see the rest. The cut scenes ring the 90's nostalgia bell vigorously and its clear that a lot of love went into this game. I hope the Dev's are proud, because they deserve to be.

AHHHHHH THE BAJA BLAST... Game is good
Edit: after coming back. So glad that once I figured out the flow of the highway part I could just skip through it entirely, no point in fighting the enemies as your main goal is to just find the exit. Rocket launcher and the chain gun have kept me pushing through. Weird eyeball scene after highway level needs some attention, whatever the voice was saying was drowned out by whatever that god awful background sound was. Combat for the most part is pointless until you come across a furnace. Then it's required. Sniper takes too long to chamber a round. Game turns into easy mode when you turn ghost mode on. Shout out to devs who leave console commands in in 2025. Made it to the end of the episode, terrible boss fight made worse by turrets you cannot destroy, and constantly being knocked into the acid. Seen the outcome of beating the boss coming from a mile away. Oh no our precious meat suit! womp womp. Still recommend. but probably going to uninstall now as there is no replay value currently. Yep, this is a game. I was pretty excited for it before hand. Now, not so much. It's like the devs said "You know how people used to rage at games back in the day? Let's do that." Some things don't make much sense. I have to shoot my way through wooden planks, but I can shoot a square of a wall out and clip through the whole thing. Wall jumping is hilarious, makes me think of Mario 64 only, the jumping on walls is worse. No way to stop the player from jumping out of the level. At least have like a ceiling so people can't jump out of the world like I did. Needs hidden goodies. I have a tendency to jump around the level looking for stuff so that's just me. Game feels okay. enemies feel like sponges. Will come back to this game after patches are dropped.
the game is good, has a great art style, interesting weapons, and unique setting. amazing gibs when enemies die. you will be right at home if you like boomer shooters & quake type games. the grappling chain mechanic is pretty fun once you get used to it. the levels themselves are large industrial areas with lots of atmosphere. As far as weapons go, I didn't really like the shotgun. It feels a bit weak. everything the shotgun(slag gun) does the chain gun does much better. neither of them can hit anything past close range. the machine gun seems to do more damage, and it can gib enemies. the rocket launcher is amazing tho. & the weird goo gun is cool as well. I'm four levels in and haven’t come across the sniper yet, which was easily the best weapon in the demo. hoping to find it soon. another gripe I had was with the checkpoints. they are spread a bit thin in some places. anyway , great game overalll
Obsessed with the combo of retro graphics with a smooth and snappy modern feel. The movement is super exciting and makes running & gunning so fun!
Hour 1 of playing Galvanized: I can wall jump, and everything exploded into fleshy loots. My city and or convoy screams for someone to save it, my slag gun an instrument of justice. *Chaingun swing into Gotham* Hour 2 of playing Galvanized: With great mobility comes a hail of unanswered gunfire. I have become Spider-Bot, why combat when I can run for my life? And crap… the meat machine requires flesh… *charges slag gun and creates orphans* In all seriousness, it’s a good shooter and even better movement game. Something about going mirrors edge style and experimenting with the physics at times makes the gameplay so much better than it lets on. I mean you could shoot most of things but then that takes time, bullets, and respawns, but do you either way it works, but the lack of guidance on the level is kind of a feature once you get the basics: see something red, then it means you haven’t hit the button or fed the machine. Do that and you progress how you do it and how much meat you generate is up to you. Personally, I hope someone more coordinated and equipped with a better chair figure out just how fast this meat hunting bot can move so I can see what else is possible.
Fun old-school shooter with a crunchy aesthetic. Love the grapple gun mechanic and platforming in general. Excited to see where they go with the future episodes!
Extremely mixed with this game. Overall gameplay is like if you combined half life 2 movement with dusk and quake and added your own extra spice. Artstyle shines brightly here. But this game pisses me off, like getting 80% through a level, moth knocks you off into a pit of lava, forcing you to start the entire level again. Quicksaves would be nice. Also e1m2 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ blows
The movement mechanics feels absolutely great and the cut scenes, game play, and music pull off the retro vibe perfectly. This isn't normally my type of game but as I move through the game and get comfortable with it i enjoy it more and more!
