Galacticon is a video game with the look and feel of arcade cabinet games from the early 80's in the style of Williams classics: "Defender" or "Joust", with the gameplay of legendary "Jetpac", and with touches of "puzzle".

great arcade shooter in the style of defender, robotron, and joust
Saw this on Talk About Games with Ryan Schott & Mike Matei. Single-screen arcade style is the retro experience I didn't know I needed. Its not something I'm going to pour hundreds of hours into, but makes a fantastic few-minutes-to-kill pickup & play job. All for the low low price of 20 credits, plus the added benefit of not needing to wait for mom to bring you down to the pizzeria, begging her for quarters, and hoping the cabinet hasn't been swapped for a rigged crane game. 10/10, would wage war on humans to rescue racist aliens again.
Perfectly solid fake retro game. Actually "gets it" (see Locomalito games, Game Center CX 1 and 2). Well-made from a software standpoint (supports 4:3 and 16:9, works with my kind of weird controller setup without any fuss).
Galacticon is a wonderful study in race relations. 10/10.
Do you like good games? Yes? Buy this.
WOW a newly-created retro arcade game that really feels like it came out around the same time as Defender, Joust and Robotron 2084, and it's really, really fun to play! Why did I wait 2 years after this came out to buy it! If you love fast-paced retro arcade games, don't miss this one!
Better than Galaga, Joust, and Defender combined. I would love to play this game on the iiRcade home arcade cabinet. Very controller friendly. Check out my video review here: https://youtu.be/JATe_pYwV28
This game reminds me of Joust and Defender combined into one game. It is extremely fast paced and your Playing Character will die many times before you even begin mastering this game. As a side note, could you release this game on the Atari VCS system....
Un regreso a los arcades de los 80. Adrenalina, disparos, acción y habilidad. Aquí el aburrimiento está prohibido
Takes me right back. Bloomin love it :)
