Hmmm... ?This game has promise, but what i dont like about it is that you can only made flat, sinlge block hieght, ships, which seems bizarre. You basically are making a ship silhouette and thats it :/ flying feels heavy and slow reacting thrusters, you press the forward key, it takes about a second or so to react, and then once key is depressed, the thruster continues onb for the same period of time that there was no reaction that was incurred when you pressed the thruster key. The movement of the ship, alongside the poorly responding keys- verymuch feels like any other game youve played where you can drive or walk on ice- literally feels the same sorta slide affect. I haven played further as i intend to return the game, but immediately, for now, its a no from me, something of which i could tell straight away, even though i love blcok building/ spaceship orienteated games. One block high makes it feel like youre not really making anythin beyond a game intended for small children.
The game was very easy to pickup and fun to play. Tutorials were informative and I really liked the premaid templates for the ships. I took ideas from them and made some of my own ships. The levels were challenging but I was able to figure out how things worked after a few failed attempts. All in all the game is a solid little indie title if you like space shooters with a creative twist.
Guys! I got a key from the developer to test his game (well before release time) and I can tell you that it's a gem! I extremely enjoyed my time with the game so far. The game offered a new experience to me because its physics are quite fresh and the ship creation is not restricted in size or resource. After creating your ship you can fulfill tasks on different maps. So far I'm only at the second map... not because it is so so impossible to do your stuff, but because I so much enjoyed the first two of them. I also saw an option where you can put together your ships to fight against each other... that's the candy on the pie! The game is in Early Access of course, and it is a "small" game because of the fact that it's a game of a very talented one-person studio, but the fun factor is huge! I highly recommend the game for everybody. If you still can't buy it when you read it, just put it on your wishlist. You won't regret it!
Galactic Shipwright is an excellent example of what all early access titles should strive to be. Definitely recommended for people who like space and strategy/puzzle games.
It's a bit too early for me to recommend the game either way, but I do want to convey how simple it is to build a ship from various pieces. I've played other "build your own ship" games that made me pull my hair out or turn to a wiki...not the case here. It'll be interesting to see where the game goes from here. I'm thumbing this up for the potential and ease of learning the ropes. Gameplay videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pg1GExoH-oA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m44FPPGaXws
Galactic Shipwright is an awesome game for everyone who enjoys building spaceships and loves Space. I really enjoy building larger and larger spacecrafts every day and I hope that new updates will bring new modules as well to be added to my creations! Great game!
I had fun playing this game. I really like the simple and quick ship editor and all the challenging levels. I hope that more missions will come out, but I did not even finish all of them yet. :D
Kinda slow for my taste but it is a good game.
6/10
