Galactic Missile Defense

외계인 방어 우주에서 침공해오는 외계인들을 막아야 합니다. 다양한 우주선에 탑승한 상태로 등장하며 종류에 따라 다양한 능력들을 발동하죠. 그냥 이리저리 다니면서 탄을 쏘는 우주선도 있고 단단한 우주선, 수리하는 우주선, 작은 우주선을 사출하는 우주선, 투명화 등등. 이런 다양한 외계인들의 침공에 맞서 터렛을 작동시킵니다. 지상에는 3개의 터렛이 존재하며, 이들로 미사일을 발사하면서 우주선을 격추시킬 수 있죠. 터렛의 교체는 직접 변경할 수도 있고 미사일을 모두 사용하면 미사일 재고가 남아있는 터렛으로 자동 교체됩니다. 만약, 모든 터렛의 미사일의 재고가 0이라면 미사일이 생산될때까지 그저 기다리는 것 말곤 할 수 있는게 없죠. 적들의 수가 적다면 그냥 기다리면 되지만 적들의 수가 많다면... 펑! 물론, 그냥 터렛만을 활용해서 방어전을 펼치지는 않습니다. 다양한 아이템과 특수 터렛들이 존재하며 플레이 중에 획득하여 활용할 수 있죠. 최대 6종류의 아이템을 각 슬롯에 누적하여 배치할 수 있으며, 슬롯이 모두 채워져있다면 즉시 아이템들을 발동할 수 있습니다. 미사일이나 체력을 보충하는 아이템도 있고, 우주선 프리즈, 보호막이나 블랙홀 생성 등의 아이템도 존재하여 활용할 수 있죠. 특수 터렛의 경우에는 현재 운용가능한 터렛에 덧씌우는 방식으로 사용되며, 레이저나 유도미사일, 개틀링건등 유니크한 재미가 있는 종류들을 이용할 수 있습니다. 사용중인 특수 터렛의 미사일이 모두 소진되면 다시 기본 터렛으로 복구되니 쓸만한 경우에는 미리미리 탄을 채워두는 것도 좋죠. 모든 우주선을 파괴하면 일정 수의 미사일이 보급되고 다음 레벨이 시작됩니다. 그렇게 레벨을 진행하다 터렛이 하나둘 터지게 되고 모든 터렛이 파괴되면 게임 오버가 되죠. 진행한 레벨과 우주선을 터트리면서 획득한 기어 등의 재화를 획득할 수 있습니다. 보유한 재화를 소모하여 전투 시작 전에 아이템이나 터랫을 구매할 수 있고, 아이템과 터랫들의 능력들을 강화시킬 수도 있죠. 이를 통해서 점점 강해지고 보다 많은 우주선을 박살낼 수 있습니다. 아쉬운 점 -터렛 교체가 조금 애매함 (설정에서 사용을 설정하여야함) -초반 팁이 너무 산발적으로 등장해서 게임에 방해가될 수준 -보너스 정산 중에 메인으로 이동 등을 하면 지급된 것까지만 처리되고 나머지는 소멸됨 -아이템 발동을 실시간으로 해야해서 방어의 빈틈이 생겨남

Good and simple ammo managment game. Could use some x5 speed mode as it is too easy at times. No obvious bugs spotted and all achievements work.

Really great game. Starts out in an over-sized resolution for some Linux setups making buttons hard to click on, but if you can manage to activate windowed mode and a res that your system supports the game play is top notch and really easy to get into.

Self aware and casual. No microtransactions to ruin it. A game doesn't have to be complicated to be a big pile of fun!

I think I got this game accidentally. It's not good.

This is like an upgraded Missile Command, the old arcade game. It's one of those play until you die, upgrade, play a little longer until you die, upgrade more, repeat. The upgrades are good, meaningful and the persist between plays. The items are for the current level only, but they are what is being upgraded. You will use whatever items are randomly dropped to get further in the game (and thus purchase more upgrades and items). It's nice to start with some items, too. There are little "antics" that are happening around you. There are animations that don't change game play, but they provide a humorous little scene. Like a farmer shooting a UFO to get his cow back. These are the nice little touches that really extend the appeal of the game. This helps break the repetitive nature. This game is at a great price point, beautiful graphics, old school arcade action, and a fun upgrade system.

Well...in one word: No. Good thing is, it is less than a dollar in my country's currency. I would be pissed if I paid this more than a dollar. It looks like a school homework, where professor wanted a cheap clone of Missile Defense. The old one is better.

I really enjoyed the silly gameplay because not everything needs to be serious XD. Pros: Unique weapons that require you to adjust your playstyle to maximise their potential. Multiple enemeis feel unique and well flushed. Cons: The end game becomes: you have bullets then you are an immortal. You are out of bullets you lose. Also, sometimes you just lose purposefully because the end game can feel like a drag

I love this game. It is a simple missile defence game and it provided me with many hours of fun. I strongly recommend this game if that is what you are looking for. I do not suggest buying this game if you are looking for something else.
