About
Galactic Getaway is a wholesome life sim inspired by games like Viva Piñata. Settle into your own peaceful pocket of space and build a home that attracts adorable creatures. Every crop you grow, every decoration you craft, and every detail you put into your home determines who might arrive and who might choose to stay.
Your world begins with just the basics — trees, soil and sky. Create your character, choose your style and begin shaping a home that feels like your own.
Everything you place changes how your world feels. Some creatures are drawn to calm. Others love color and clutter. Grow glowing vegetables, gather rare resources and craft furniture and decorations to bring your vision to life.
As your world evolves, new creatures will begin to appear. Each one has its own preferences and personality. Some will visit briefly. Others might settle in if the conditions feel right. Keep changing and experimenting to learn what makes them stay.
Between farming and decorating, take time to unwind with a selection of wholesome mini-games. From pastel tank battles to spaceball and fashion shows, they’re a fun way to earn rewards and enjoy the sillier side of your getaway
Invite your friends to visit, decorate, and collect pets together. Trade decorations, team up to attract rare creatures, or just relax while your planets come to life.
Design a cozy explorer that feels like you. Choose your hairstyle, outfit, and color palette Whether you're going full pastel space-elf or rugged galactic gardener, your vibe helps shape the world around you.

Honestly really amazing. It's cute, kinda silly. I can pick up a meat plant. Lol. I made a friend in the first couple days. Plus devs and community are nice and friendly.
TLDR; It's kinda too buggy for me to continue at this point. Now, I understand this is an EA game, which means that a lot of things aren't quite fleshed out yet. I bought this at a discounted price during the Autumn Sale, but even for this price I wouldn't recommend it at this stage. My reasoning is that I ran into several bugs that is quite relatively similar- the first being that my character was stuck in time after a squirrel began digging my plot of land (not sure if they're supposed to do that? probably another bug, huh?), the second being that my character has been literally obliterated from the face of the earth just from taking a stroll in the HQ. These bugs kept popping out during my gameplay that I found them to be quite an annoyance having to spam on the "rescue" button on my in-game phone every few minutes. That being said, whilst I think the game is quite warm and cute, I don't think I could keep playing it, at least not until the game is near its completion.
je demande un remboursement je sais même pas comment on fait sur Steam deck merci de bien vouloir m'expliquer comment ça marche
I love how cute this game is!!! I have only encountered 2 bugs so far. 1. I can't get my pets to roam if I put in the pet station from my party. If the station is outside they don't come out at all but if its in my house the pet cannot leave. 2. The 1st adventure should be free but I still got charged full price.
Extremely buggy. I've captured pets several times that just... don't show up. They're just gone into the ether with all of the resources I spent tricking them into loving me. Also, you can't change out of your spacesuit until you unlock the fashionista - which is fair- but once you do you are given access to a menu to change clothes in. At first it seems like you have no clothes, but you still have the option to take off your spacesuit. I was playing around with it, seeing if there was base clothing or something under it. NOPE. AND WHEN YOU TAKE OFF THE SPACESUIT IT ALSO VANISHES. So you have to RUN AROUND IN YOUR TINY BOYBRIEFS UNTIL YOU CAN AFFORD THE VERY EXPENSIVE CLOTHES. Man. Just do yourself a favor... don't buy this game. They take your cute little guys... they take your clothes... they take your will to live :'(
Super cute and I love collecting all the kitties
Confirme, this Game is dead. Its now part of a never ending list.
Unfortunately I couldn't play this game without clipping out of the map multiple times and being stuck frozen with the only fix being to exit at restart the game. I could write about the positive aspects, but the game being almost unplayable for me completely erased any of those aspects from my mind
While I agreed at first that the game was a bit empty, I was still having fun. The mini game aspect is something I always wanted in similar games - something more than just visiting a friend's island and hanging out. The characters are cute and the game's personality is endearing. That being said, it has crashed the last several times I have tried to play. It's fine until I get to my garden area, which only consists of six 3x3 plots. If 36 entities is too many in what is already a small play space with little room to branch out, I'm not sure how I am supposed to play this farming sim. I am excited to see growth and hope the creator keeps up with the game. It would make a good rival for AC and I would rather support a small team/single dev.
Really bad gameplay, it needs so much work
