About
Galactic Getaway is a wholesome life sim inspired by games like Viva Piñata. Settle into your own peaceful pocket of space and build a home that attracts adorable creatures. Every crop you grow, every decoration you craft, and every detail you put into your home determines who might arrive and who might choose to stay.
Your world begins with just the basics — trees, soil and sky. Create your character, choose your style and begin shaping a home that feels like your own.
Everything you place changes how your world feels. Some creatures are drawn to calm. Others love color and clutter. Grow glowing vegetables, gather rare resources and craft furniture and decorations to bring your vision to life.
As your world evolves, new creatures will begin to appear. Each one has its own preferences and personality. Some will visit briefly. Others might settle in if the conditions feel right. Keep changing and experimenting to learn what makes them stay.
Between farming and decorating, take time to unwind with a selection of wholesome mini-games. From pastel tank battles to spaceball and fashion shows, they’re a fun way to earn rewards and enjoy the sillier side of your getaway
Invite your friends to visit, decorate, and collect pets together. Trade decorations, team up to attract rare creatures, or just relax while your planets come to life.
Design a cozy explorer that feels like you. Choose your hairstyle, outfit, and color palette Whether you're going full pastel space-elf or rugged galactic gardener, your vibe helps shape the world around you.

This game is super cute. It is super buggy, but still super fun! I am obsessed. Overload of cuteness. My favorite part is probably fishing and befriending the animals. I am excited to see what they will add into the game.
Love this game! It's very chill, super calm and cozy... and it is just adorable. There's quite a bit to do, but you'll mostly do gardening and befriending animals. You can also go on adventures to get more resources/animals/crops. I will say the controls feel, at times, somewhat janky, but it's not too bad. Overall, this game is worth putting some time into--I daresay this one is going to be my newest gaming addiction.
It's like 2020 again, but without COVID! Galactic Getaway is an absolute gem that perfectly captures the cozy charm of Animal Crossing while adding the exciting exploration and creature-collecting elements of Pokémon Legends: Arceus. This unique blend creates something truly special in the cozy gaming space. The game strikes a wonderful balance between relaxing daily activities and adventurous exploration across different planets. Whether you're decorating your space habitat, befriending alien creatures, or discovering new worlds, every moment feels rewarding and peaceful. The art style is charming and the soundtrack creates the perfect atmosphere for unwinding after a long day. What impressed me most is how the game respects your time - you can play for 20 minutes or 2 hours and feel equally satisfied. The creature collection mechanics are engaging without being overwhelming, and the building/customization options give you real creative freedom. After 4 years in development, you can feel the love and attention to detail in every aspect. This is clearly a passion project, and it shows. Highly recommended for anyone looking for their next cozy gaming obsession!
now i understand why people are saying bad things about the game but you have to remember THAT THEY ARE STILL WORKING ON IT!! Of course its not gonna be perfect now...it clearly says that when you first start the game. i definitely see the potential and hope and pray that they keep giving us updates! I love the game so far!
I’ve only spent about 4 hours in Galactic Getaway so far, and honestly, I feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface. I LVOE the characters you meet and doing quests, exploring different planets for animals, and fishing has been so much fun. I keep getting sidetracked just wandering around and seeing what I can get into. I've seen a few reviews mentioning bugs or graphical issues, but for me personally I haven't run into anything like that and It's been smooth for me. It feels good supporting a game were the devs seem to care about the community and the future of the game. Cant wait to see how it grows and if you're thinking about trying it, It's worth it!
I would highly recommend giving this game a try! :D I was a bit apprehensive after reading some of the reviews but I'm really glad I decided to throw caution to the wind and give it a go for myself because I've been having a blast!! The game is currently in EA and that can be felt in a few pesky bugs, a lack of polish here and there... but it has a ton of potential, a beautiful design and a fun concept. The love that's been poured into this game by the devs truly shines through. It's encouraging to see them so active on Discord. I had a couple of questions today and they were answered extremely quickly, within a few minutes!! They are very involved with the community, listening to and taking on board feedback and quickly squashing bugs that are reported. The game needs a bit more time to cook to reach its full potential but if you want to be involved in shaping it, I'd 100% recommend giving it a shot :) Otherwise, it's definitely one to keep on your radar!!
Thought this was going to be a new Animal Crossing, this is as if animal crossing's pre alpha was pirated then got sent through the abyss.
Many players describe GG as "Animal Crossing in space". ;While I agree. I'm also reminded of "Viva Piñata and Stardew Valley" (sans enemy mobs). Live out your Imperialist ( dreams (peacefully) of building out a personal menagerie of creatures, plants, and treasures including but not limited to beach balls and strawberry stools. make friends sharing dad jokes while gardening, fishing, farming; redecorating your planet; and exploring space. Online community is thriving, and helpful with tips and tricks on how to complete quests and customize your planet. cozy, multiplayer, collecting; dad jokes; tanks, buildings, puffy pants; space exploration -GG.
Where do I even start? First of all: The game is definitely a lot of fun! You can tell that the developer knows what players of this genre want or expect. But unfortunately—unfortunately!—the execution is still lacking. The game is extremely buggy—like, seriously. There are bugs that really shouldn't exist, not even in an Early Access title. Things like falling through the world, furniture duplicating permanently when placed, items disappearing or getting reduced when stacking, and so on. Also, progression is way too fast and too easy. After just 10+ hours, you’ve basically seen everything. I’m sure there's a lot more content to come, but right now you reach everything way too quickly without needing to work toward anything. And yet? I LOVE this game and I'm genuinely excited to watch it grow and evolve over time...
This game very quickly became my favorite. The community is absolutely wonderful, the dev is very helpful and active and despite being early access, it's so fun to play! And the art style of the game is so cute! The creatures are adorable and fun to collect! Definitely recommend!
