The Game is excellent. EXCEPT the 3.01 patch has broken the Nyx Mission. It ends instantly in defeat for both sides??!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Solid strategy game, very easy to sink hours into. Well worth it's cost in my opinion.
Great game!! its look like stellaris but a turn by turn way and a bit less option. otherwise, ia look like better and more hard a hard level than stellaris. enjoy everyone
Fun game
I like the characters. I like the trade options but wish there were more.
I've had a great time with the game so far, it scratches an itch that's been needing to be scratched for awhile. It's a great game, however there are some glaring issues. 1. Performance The game runs great until midway to close to the end of a campaign when there's just too much going on every turn. Turns can take up to 10 minutes to complete. I have a pretty beefy computer, i9 14950KF, 4080 Super, 32gb RAM. I started a campaign with all of the base species and on the largest galaxy size possible. I tried making another campaign where it was the next size lower and used about half of the species and it still bogged down quite a bit at the halfway point. talking 12-20fps even in the "strategic view". I even tried making habitable planets more sparse in hopes of combating the lag, but I can't tell if that helps. The fact is, I shouldn't HAVE to do any of this to make the game playable. I am going to try the next lower settings to see if I can actually finish a campaign next time. 2. Graphics The graphics are fine, I don't expect anything amazing, however, for them to not be amazing, there shouldn't be performance issues. 3. Gameplay The gameplay loop is great, it's what you would expect of a 4x game. The game doesn't make a lot of functions in the game clear and a lot of the QOL stuff in the game I had to find on my own by accident. Not being able to kill off captured colonists on an annexed planet is kind of lame imo. The pacing of the base game felt fine to me, but when you get to the Megastructures DLC, that's when things start to go south. I bought 2 of the DLCs, the Species pack and the Megastructures pack, so I can't speak of the other DLCs or if they address some of these issues, but I doubt it. The Megastructures DLC adds 2 major new things in the game, gateways between blackholes and dyson spheres/ringworlds. This is an extremely cool concept and love the DLC, but the pacing of it makes absolutely no sense. Let me explain. The first parts of the research tree for this become available a little too early imo. It really overshadows everything else as well as it literally breaks the game. The AI will always rush this technology sooner than later and it makes other techs and a lot of culture paths useless by comparison. The bonuses you get from the nexus spheres is absolutely insane. Just building a few of these and upgrading them will make all research and manufacturing projects only take a single turn to complete. So all of those other techs that boost your manufacturing and research? Useless. This should be very late game technology, I shouldn't be able to get this before being able to build battleships or dreadnaughts. This DLC would be amazing if it just made it a lot harder to get, because it really pigeon holes you into doing just one strategy. The Species DLC is pretty cool, I feel like it should have been part of the base game, but whatever. I didn't try using the AI prompts it has because i just had grok help me instead with the species names and such. Still a great game, just needs some major performance fixes and balancing patches. tldr; performance sucks and the megastructures DLC is heavily unbalanced. Can't recommend until they fix performance.
Takes time to learn. Gives many great oppions.
I have played Gal Civ since the start of the series. Each iteration has been better and better. This latest iteration, IV, is pinnacle Gal Civ and the quality of life and streamlined systems make this truly enjoyable and satisfying. This game truly strikes a great balance of respecting your time, being accessible, and complex at the same time. HIGHLY recommended for Gal Civ and Space 4x Fans!
Always fun to play and build your civilization.....
