Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Sep 8 → 0.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Add-ons
Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.
Sums Steam only; Xbox, Epic publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.
Updates
Build ids and update times come straight from Steam's PICS — the same source SteamDB reads. Patch history grows as we record new builds.

I played a lot of Galciv II back in the day, and now I every-so-often get the itch to play Galciv III, and it is fun to paint the map my color until the universe gangs up on me.

eh not my type of game
Been a Civ Fan for decades going back to Civ 2: Call To Power. Played Gal Civ 2: The Dread Lords for years and fell in love with the Civ series being in outer space. Couldn't pass up the opp to buy Gal Civ 3 and am blown away by the improvements over GC 2. Endless replayability. A custom ship designer. Scenario editor. Map builder. The DLC's are fun. The UI is not the brightest in the universe, but it has it's perks. You will always be at war with the Drengin & Korath factions. Always. The Snathi will always want your blood, but it's fun to destroy space serpents. The depth of the game is mind-numbing. I've seen reviews complaining about the space battles being lame, but I disagree. Watching the replays from different camera angles is awesome. I do admit that the planetary invasion mechanic leaves a lot to be desired but overall, CG 3 is a must-have for any 4X player. 2 thumbs up!
A game I can always come back to time and again for some large-scale galactic conquest. It's fairly simple to grasp and yet somehow never gets too stale. Try as I might to win the multitude of ways you can, I always tend wage a complete war against every living creature in the galaxy...
if you like 4x this is a good studio to support.
Very complete and detailed games. High level of replayability.
I love the customization and the amount of factions available to play. Also, the amount of available ships to download is amazing. And for those looking to live out a fantasy of playing a galactic campaign within the Halo, Star Trek, Dune, Warhammer 40k or Star Wars universes there are plenty of maps, factions, and pre-built starships in the Workshop for you to download and live out that dream.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ace
It is ok I guess. Lots of things to do. Not as good as Space Empires IV though.
