Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Sep 8 → 0.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
Love the immersive parts of this game!
It's fun and can be customised to a large degree. This game has a high re-playability I come back to it all the time to waste a day.
Been a Civ Fan for decades going back to Civ 2: Call To Power. Played Gal Civ 2: The Dread Lords for years and fell in love with the Civ series being in outer space. Couldn't pass up the opp to buy Gal Civ 3 and am blown away by the improvements over GC 2. Endless replayability. A custom ship designer. Scenario editor. Map builder. The DLC's are fun. The UI is not the brightest in the universe, but it has it's perks. You will always be at war with the Drengin & Korath factions. Always. The Snathi will always want your blood, but it's fun to destroy space serpents. The depth of the game is mind-numbing. I've seen reviews complaining about the space battles being lame, but I disagree. Watching the replays from different camera angles is awesome. I do admit that the planetary invasion mechanic leaves a lot to be desired but overall, CG 3 is a must-have for any 4X player. 2 thumbs up!

i alllways was hoooked on this game
Enjoyed this a lot, it's a very detailed 4X with menu's and a UI that feels accessible. I definitely prefer this over Stellaris, that game is just OTT with menu's and popups. Definitely give this a go if you're tired of Stellaris and want a decent manageable 4X game. The worst thing about GalCiv3 is the combat, its not good at all, but thankfully it can be skipped.
I played a lot of Galciv II back in the day, and now I every-so-often get the itch to play Galciv III, and it is fun to paint the map my color until the universe gangs up on me.
This is probably my favorite space game in a very crowded field. I have GC4 in my library but have not played it yet. I have six DLC's which add more to the game. The others are too expensive. Not to mention the DLC's for GC4. I like the game editor which allows me to create my own galaxy. Perhaps as I play more I will try the scenarios. There is a ship building dlc which I have not tried as I find the existing designs fine. I am about to start my next game. 75/100
Great game. lots of fun to play and GREAT replayability
