I've only played Saku's route so far but I really liked it! The art style is really pretty and the voice acting is amazing. If you are tired of the otomes with heavy plots that makes you cry, this game would be a pleasant break from them. It has a simple plot but it is still entertaining.
It's so boring that I didn't even remember anything that stood out.
Musiques Horribles, dessins moyen, histoires soporiphiques.
This is a good game. It was enjoyable to play with an enjoyable group of LIs and storyline. The CGs, sprites and BGs are all lovely and so is the background music. Recommended.
this game really worst! story is so simple and chiche. i play the men of yoshiwara kikuya and i love so much but why same studio made this stupid game??? maybe 12 years old teenage girls like this but i dont think so. really this game worst..
Gakuen Club is an otome visual novel developed by OperaHouse Corporation and published by Dogenzaka Lab and D3PUBLISHER. Set within the prestigious Kirika Academy, the game follows a transfer student whose ordinary school life takes an unexpected turn after she becomes involved with a secret after-school club. What begins as a typical academy romance gradually unfolds into a story filled with hidden relationships, personal secrets, and emotional discoveries. While the premise contains elements of mystery, the heart of the experience remains firmly rooted in character-driven romance. The game's greatest strength lies in its cast of love interests. Each route introduces a different perspective on the academy and its secretive social circle, allowing players to build relationships with characters who possess distinct personalities, ambitions, and vulnerabilities. The writing places significant emphasis on emotional development, ensuring that each romantic path feels personal and rewarding. Rather than relying heavily on dramatic twists, the narrative focuses on the gradual growth of trust and affection between the protagonist and her chosen partner. Fans of traditional otome storytelling will likely appreciate the attention given to relationship building and character interactions. Visually, Gakuen Club delivers a polished presentation that suits its romantic themes. The character illustrations are attractive and expressive, helping convey emotional moments effectively. Each love interest is designed to stand out, making it easy for players to identify their favorites from the beginning. The backgrounds complement the atmosphere well, shifting between the familiar setting of school life and the more exclusive environment connected to the mysterious club. Although the visual style does not attempt anything revolutionary, it remains consistently appealing throughout the experience. Another major highlight is the voice acting. The game features a fully voiced male cast, and the performances add considerable charm to every route. Conversations feel more engaging because of the energy and personality brought by the actors, helping players become invested in each romance. Emotional scenes benefit especially from the strong delivery, often making key story moments more memorable than they would have been through text alone. For many players, the quality of the voice work will be one of the most compelling reasons to continue exploring every character path. As a visual novel, gameplay is intentionally simple. Most of the experience involves reading dialogue, making occasional choices, and progressing through different story routes. Players looking for extensive gameplay mechanics or complex systems may find the interaction limited. However, the straightforward design allows the narrative and romance elements to remain the primary focus. The interface is easy to navigate, making the game accessible even to newcomers who have little experience with otome titles. The story's secret club concept provides an intriguing foundation, though it serves more as a backdrop for romance than as a central mystery. While players will uncover hidden details about the academy and its members, the narrative consistently prioritizes emotional connections over suspense. This approach works well for those seeking a relaxing romantic experience, but players hoping for a deeper mystery may feel that some aspects of the premise are not explored as thoroughly as they could have been. Replayability comes from experiencing the different romance routes and endings. Each character offers unique scenes and emotional arcs, encouraging multiple playthroughs. Although some shared content can make repeated runs feel familiar, the individual stories provide enough variety to justify exploring the entire cast. Completionists and dedicated otome fans will likely enjoy uncovering every route and seeing how each relationship develops. Overall, Gakuen Club is a charming and approachable romance visual novel that understands its target audience. It delivers attractive artwork, strong voice performances, likable characters, and a comfortable blend of school-life drama and romance. While it does not push the boundaries of the genre and offers only limited gameplay interaction, its engaging cast and heartfelt romantic stories make it an enjoyable experience for fans of otome games. Players looking for a character-focused adventure filled with romance and light intrigue will find plenty to appreciate within its academy setting. Rating: 7/10
Good story. Great guys.
I don't know why this game has a special rating, it only has plain kisses, nothing explicit. It sure is expensive considering its length. Expect a little above 2 hours/full route. By the way, they're pretty unbalanced, some routes are around 1h30 while others may require more than 3. It gives an unpolished and rushed feeling to some LIs. Overall, I enjoyed the game, the art is beautiful and the voice acting is always a nice feature to have. Side characters voices are always the same but not distributed the same way over the different routes, and some of their voices were really offputting to me, they sounded unnaturally high-pitched as if strained. Even if he is the one that stands out the less at first, Saku's route is my favourite.
