[h1]What a Fxxxing Disappointment[/h1] An adult otoge that’s funny and sexy? Sounds great! Too bad this game is neither. Funny? Meh. Humor is extremely subjective, I know, but, subjectively, this game isn’t funny. Miss Lonesome, another game by the same devs, was fun to read and at times hilarious, but Magical Princess is boring slice-of-lifing of the “I go to [strike]school[/strike] college every day” and “What’s for dinner” variety with few (if any) funny moments. SOL with no discernible plot would be fine if the characters and their interactions were compelling, but they’re not. The MC, Marika, is a disturbingly ditzy, overly chipper protagonist who cannot be left unsupervised and needs her maid to babysit her. Which makes sense, since Marika is a princess, after all, but I find it annoying because of the backdrop of numerous other suicidally stupid otome protagonists who need to be rescued all the time. Marika’s love interests, the Dork and the Serious Guy, are not unique, but reasonably appealing and even charming at times. However, they’re much better with each other than with Marika. Sexy? YMMV, a lot. With the patch, there’re [spoiler]3 (three)[/spoiler] sex scenes in the true route and [spoiler]even fewer[/spoiler] in the normal route. So if you [strike]hope[/strike] assume based on the rating that there’s a lot of adult content in this game, there isn’t, and all of the sex scenes can be skipped without harming the (absence of) plot. Oh, and the scenes that [i]are[/i] there are focused on Marika’s [spoiler]balloon boobs and shiny ass.[/spoiler] What about the guys? Well. They’re there, I guess. Any positives in this game? Um. ... There’s a cat! Overall, I expected to enjoy this game much more. Buy on sale, if at all.

TW: This game contains attempted rape! (R18 ver.) TLDR: This game is the most backwards forward game ever. I was honestly excited for this game when i found out about it, after all the concept of a girl so sexually sure of herself and so open about her sexuality appealed to me as a fan of Otome games where the MC can often feel like a piece of cardboard. The writing was bad in a charming and funny way and was excited to go through the Kaoru route. So when i found out that there was a version online where its not censored i quickly downloaded it and put it in the game. I dont know if this is different inherently because i have the uncut version but that almost rape scene made me incredibly uncomfortable, and double the fact that as punishment the maid decides to rape the perpetrator. it felt like such a hypocritical message. For a game to have the MC say "Having sex without consent is so uncool!" and then have the maid imply to do such acts in the next few scenes makes the whole game feel wrong in some way. (Honestly i would have less problems if they just didnt show the scene with the maid at all. leave it to the imagination on what the ♥♥♥♥ she did to the bastard.) Honestly after that scene, it's making it very hard to continue playing the game. If you think can go through that scene, and another dubious scene according to the translator's twitter (they wont specify whats so dubious about it) It is a fun VN. Though in my honest opinion, after that, its not really for me. -edit- In the comments, there was some discussion if this specific scene was the main reason I dont recommend this game or if i had any other thoughts about this game. if i were to be honest, the reason i chose the "not recommend" option is purely based on my thoughts of "would i actually recommend this game to people?" well the answer was "no" and so that was my decision. Now was the rape scene the sole reason i dont recc this game? No, i'd say it was the straw the broke the camel's back because i actually have some problems with this game but its mostly based on my experience in the 8 hours i played this game and they were more my personal preferences for otome games rather than an objective review. that being said i will put these in case yall share my sentiments. This is also gonna be real long so TLDR: This game isnt a "Real" Otome game/Dating Sim in my opinion and coupled with that rape scene are why i dont recommend this VN. -spoilers- [spoiler] So i want to say, for the sake of not being confusing, i equate otome games with dating simulators aimed towards the female audience. As such when i went into this game i was expecting 3 things: a dating route, multiple endings, and (for lack of a better term) eye candy. The game only had 1 out of my 3 expectations, dating routes. You can choose between 2 guys, a girl, and a poly route, this is standard. Though as I played the game, i always had this feeling that my decisions never fully mattered. Sure it mattered in the sense that who i chose would ultimately decide the route i was going for. But i did not feel like i was trying to "woo" the guy or try to get to know him better in a way through the dialogue options. If felt as if our "happily ever after" was guaranteed and you can write an Otome game like that, youre allowed to have a no consequence story. But it made the act of getting to know these gentlemen, what they like, what makes them tick, how to win their affection, so shallow. You already know that regardless of your decisions at the end of the game they will still say "I love you MC we'll get married!" And finally the lack of eye candy in this game. Now I played the R18 ver. ive seen the sex scenes uncensored. And my only comment on it, is that it felt like it was written and directed by a person who thinks he understands the female gaze, but still writes under the male gaze. Now to those "averse" to this SJW language, i will rephrase. It felt like this game was more targeted towards a male audience versus a female audience. The descriptions of the men are as descriptive as the adjective "handsome" int hat thats the only descriptor available. all the sex scenes mostly show the MC fully naked and the man obscured. Not a single ab, nor man tiddy. No "artistic" scenes that show the man's devotion or love for you, or even scenes that make the guy even a little bit cool. There was a part in the early game, where the MC decides to snoop around the house and check out if the guy was awake. Now i chose Kaoru, and knowing that hes a Kendo head, i already expected a couple scenes, either you -catch him unawares and he just woke up, the sun shining on his vulnerable body, while you see a glimpse of his toned muscles from exercising.- OR -you find him at the dojo, sweat dripping from his hakama as he diligently practices the swings taught by his grandfather, the early morning sun making him glisten, his eyes filled with focus and determination.- Yeah well none of that happened. You show up at the dojo, and you see him completely normal just finished practicing, nothing interesting, no nice art to get me invested in the dude as a romantic partner. Also as a complete random but odd thing i noticed, there are a lot and i mean A LOT of odd ceiling shots in this VN. Like absolutely nothing just random shots of random ceilings in the area. I dont even want to call this game an Otome game, it just feels more like a Smutty Romance VN with branching storylines, and not an actual dating simulation. So my disappointment in it not being a "real" otome game and the hypocritical rape scene are my main gripes with this game. Therefore Not recommended [/spoiler]

I think in this specific case, the title of Fxxx Me Royally!! Horny Magical Princess already tells you everything you need to know about this visual novel. Well, surprisingly, it's an adult otome game. Okay, maybe that's not that surprising, but I digress. Anyway, I'm sure a lot of people are familiar with the visual novel Fashioning Little Miss Lonesome which was developed by the same developer kalmia8. The good news here is that I overall enjoyed Fxxx Me Royally more than Fashioning Little Miss Lonesome, although this game definitely has its flaws. Now, I would like to specifically mention that this visual novel isn't everyone's cup of tea, but hey, that's fine. [h2]What Would You Do If There Are Aliens? And What If One Wants To Actually Marry You?[/h2] [b]What kind of question is that? Of course, accept right away![/b] — Wait no, that's not the only problem here. You see, Marika, a princess from another world, decides to visit earth. The reason for that? Well, there are supposedly a lot of hot guys on earth. Thus, she is determined to find her soulmate and as if that's fate, she ends up landing on two attractive guys during her fall to earth. Remember the problem? Marika's kingdom works slightly differently with everyone being sexually open. Thus, a kiss is equal to a greeting and intercourse to a conversation. Of course, it's slightly tough for the guys to get used to her culture, however, that doesn't stop our princess from kissing both of them. Anyway, luckily both of them are very understanding and decide to let Marika stay with them. [h2]Light-Hearted Visual Novel With A Lot Of Comedy[/h2] Okay, so those who already played Fashioning Little Miss Lonesome are very likely already prepared for the comedy bits that are appearing throughout the game. Overall, I'd say the game is rather light-hearted and mostly follows the everyday life of the characters whilst everything is unfamiliar for Marika. Whilst the story isn't in-depth itself, Fxxx Me Royally still has a more serious vibe than Fashioning Little Miss Lonesome. Therefore, it's kind of a mixture of crazy writing that cannot be taken seriously, whilst some scenes are having the purpose of progressing the plot. [h2]The Execution of the Story[/h2] Okay, here comes my biggest issue with this game. I felt like the common route and the romance routes were like two different games. I understand that the common route is there to introduce the characters, along with the love interests, however, I still didn't enjoy the common route much and even felt it was draggy at times. [*][h3]Lackluster Common Route[/h3] So, let's talk about the common route more in-depth. What's the issue here? Well, I admit that the comedy was on point and there were a lot of moments I had to smirk because the reactions of the characters were so hilarious. Something to keep in mind is that it's Marika's first stay on earth so she obviously doesn't have a clue how everything works here. Even though she is an airhead I was still very understanding with her. Anyway, on the one side, there was the light-hearted comedy, but on the other side, the visual novel tries to introduce its characters for hours, while staying pretty consistent. So, the guys cannot really get used to Marika's advances and are sometimes even too shy and awkward to outright accept her invitations. On the other side, Marika doesn't really seem to try to be understanding towards them having their correct order before starting making out. Well, in short, there isn't really anything significant happening here besides the few comedy bits that luckily made the common route less dry. This doesn't sound that bad, however, due to the lack of the story and character development, the common route felt very dull and it wasn't engaging while going through it. At times, I felt bored and it was hard for me to play this game for a very long time during one sitting. I often just wanted to quit playing and questioned myself when the actual romance finally starts. [*][h3]Adorable Romance Routes[/h3] Luckily, the romance routes made it up to me. Once I managed to complete the common route the development of the characters and their relationship is finally taking place and thus, the player gets to know the love interests even more and their past. Each of them focuses on different aspects too so they're entirely different from each other. Although that means that one could prefer a story over the other one, it still felt refreshing to me. Something I adored here is that once the player gets into a romance route, the other love interest will still be present, however, without any drama happening. This made me feel like each character still has a lot of importance even if it's not their personal route.[/list] [h2]Two Love Interests[/h2] In total, there are two different love interests available in Fxxx Me Royally. Those two couldn't be more different and I'd describe one of them as the typical shy guy next door whilst the other one is a popular player that is fashionable too. Anyway, each of the routes implements two different endings which are tied to a couple of answers almost at the end. Other than that, it's very easy to get into the desired romance route as the choices during the common route are straight-forward with even having each guy's names in the selectable answer. Thus, a guide might only be necessary for reaching every ending. [h3]What About The Other Routes?[/h3] Besides the abrupt ending when failing to get into anyone's route, there are more routes getting unlocked once the player completes the two main love interest's routes. However, those endings are really short and kind of reminded me of the abrupt but funny ends in Fashioning Little Miss Lonesome. Thus, they are not meant to be taken seriously nor offer as much development as the main two love interests. Either way, I still found them interesting to go through with possible other ends. In addition to that, the main love interests do have bonus stories as well that get unlocked when completing their routes. [h2]Graphics, Japanese Voice-Acting, and The Immersion[/h2] Visually-wise, Fxxx Me Royally is a high-quality visual novel with gorgeous CGs. Something that was greatly noticeable to me was that there weren't a lot of CGs available during the common route. However, this part didn't luckily bother me a lot. Anyway, the character sprites are gorgeous as well with chibi versions available at times. In addition to that, there are a lot of options in the settings where the player can freely choose their preferences such as Marika's sprite showing up during the dialogues. Fortunately, Fxxx Me Royally implements superb Japanese voice-acting that greatly increased the immersion, whilst the animations, on the other hand, were used rather sparingly. [h2]So, what do we have in the end?[/h2] Do I recommend Fxxx Me Royally? The answer would be "It depends on". Overall, I'd say I had a good time with the visual novel whilst it's important to keep in mind that you can only enjoy this kind of game if you're in the mood for games with hilarious scenes that cannot be taken seriously. That being said, I cannot exactly say that Fxxx Me Royally is a well-executed otome game, yet it delivered entertaining moments to me. Whilst this visual novel definitely is not like a regular otome game, fans of Fashioning Little Miss Lonesome will very likely enjoy Fxxx Me Royally, as well as those who enjoy comedic games fueled with light-hearted romance. I would like to recommend this game, but alas, I cannot. First of all it's weird for an otome - despite this game ostensibly being aimed at women the protagonist is closer to embodying a straight male fantasy. Not that women can't or shouldn't want sex, not that an otome game protagonist shouldn't enjoy sex for the game to be enjoyable. In fact we need more of this in dating sims aimed at women. However Marika is very much a dude fantasy - an extra horny princess who teaches you magic and is impressed by everyday things, a cringy combination of Born Sexy Yesterday and a bimbo whose only goals seem to be having good sex and finding a husband. Not relatable in the least. Second, I spent every second I played this game wishing the male leads would just kiss each other - they had way more chemistry with one another than with Marika. The actual routes drag on forever with 0 conflict in the relationship and not much to speak of in terms of plot - I played all of Kaoru's route and most of Ryuusei's and was bored almost immediately by what little 'plot' there was. Third, content warning: there's rape in this game. This may already be a dealbreaker for some people. For me, it depends on how it is handled, and it was not handled gracefully here. Some spoilery details under the spoiler: [spoiler]A villain attempts to rape Marika, and is interrupted by the love-interest of the day. This isn't the upsetting thing. The upsetting thing is that Sana then punishes the attempted rapist by raping him. This is played as comedy. The rapist continues to show up in the story, traumatized by his experience but allowed to roam free.[/spoiler] This made me profoundly uncomfortable. Four, and most infuriatingly, I played this game with the adult content patched back in. On multiple occasions, Marika will introduce a magic spell that clearly has kinky uses, but then this magic is NOT used in any of the sex scenes. A character learns to summon ropes by magic. No one gets tied up in a sexy way. Marika creates a clone of one of her beaus. It's only used for kendo training and not clone sex. I will say Marika being the active party in most sex scenes is nice, since this happens so rarely in my experience of japanese 18+ romance games. HOWEVER. This porn game introduces the possibility of clone sex and then fails utterly to deliver on it! DO NOT BUY.

The people of Kamel'toh have rather unusual customs and consider physical intimacy casual. "If a kiss is a greeting, then sex is a conversation", or so they say. In search of her future husband, Marika comes to Earth, where she meets two nice, good looking guys. More precisely, she just happens to fall from the sky land on them… The basic concept of the story is rather simple. A girl needs to overcome the social and cultural differences she is used to and fall in love for the first time. [/i] [b]Main character:[/b] [i]Marika is by far the worst female protagonist I have ever seen. She is stupid, gullible and ditsy. Not to mention overly annoying and pushy. I normally have no issues with pushy female protagonists, but Marika keeps going on about how important consent is, then proceeds to manipulate people to get her own way when told no. She likes to randomly undress to seduce boys who reject her attention and shakes their morality for entertainment. I do understand that her loose moral behavior is implied by the idea she is from another world where this is normal, but I still find it unpleasant to watch. I would hardly call this a respectful relationship.[/i] [b]Love interests:[/b] [i]In comparison to Kalmia8’s previous work Fashioning Little Miss Lonesome (FLML), the guys here are soooooo much better. Both love interests have very likable personalities. However, they seem to have way more chemistry between each other than with Marika. I think, they both should ditch this loose girl and pursue their happy life together. They deserve better. Kaoru is an uptight law student who takes everything very seriously and Ryuusei is a social butterfly who's frequent at group dates. Both boys are polar opposites and cover wide range of emotions so it is fun to watch them interact with each other. Before I get to the upsetting part, I want to note that this game is beautiful. The Art style looks neat and it is a big improvement compared FLML with its weird faces and body proportions. The opening is very catchy and overall, the music is great. The Menu is aesthetically pleasing and the "Skip" "Auto" "Load" and "Save" are features perform better than expected. I can tell a lot of imagination and attention to detail has been put into the features. Now for the Upsetting part with the story writing and certain events. Before getting on a route, I had to go through plenty of thirsty dialogues followed up by implied intercourse. I don't mind spicy content when game is not over-cluttered with it, but that was a little bit too much for me. Many of those dialogues and acts you could just skip since they don't really contribute to the story.[/i] [b](Spoiler warning below)[/b] [i] Kaoru's route was the first one I played and I caught myself enjoying it. Sadly, I can't say the same about the super boring story they prepared for Ryuusei. It felt like it was dragged on for too long with many illogical things happening. I can understand that this traumatizing event is supposed to bring two lovebirds closer together and I have no issue with this. Some people need element of danger to realize how much they care and what are they willing to do to save their beloved person. The thing I do not support is [spoiler] the rape of the culprit [/spoiler] as a form of punishment. That moral is gross. Should have just called the cops and set a good example. The thing that truly ticked me off is Ryuusei's mini-story you unlock after finishing his true ending. [spoiler] She turns Ryuusei into a child and then sleeps with him...[/spoiler] Look this is seriously messed up! I have never felt so filthy and disgusted after finishing a game. I am a HUGE Fan of Fashioning little miss lonesome. And I have to say the reviews on this game made me extremely hesitant to try it. I am glad I ignored them and played it anyways honestly, some things I saw in the reviews were-- 1. not funny Well, whether or not you think this game is funny lies entirely up to you. I will say if you enjoyed FLML then you would enjoy this game. The interactions are just as hilarious and the characters feel close. 2. MC is annoying or ditzy I mean... she isn't even from earth so I don't get this complaint. Yeah she is stupid af sometimes but honestly that's a trope we should be used to by now. Also someone said her views are "backwards".... she is from a planet where a greeting is a kiss and a conversation is sex... don't know what ya want more of an explanation on? 3. TW- [spoiler] attempted rape[/spoiler] [spoiler] I can see how this would turn people off but I can guarantee you even in the "bad" endings nothing happens to our FL. She is always saved, and there is no gross visuals or even dialogue about what happens, because nothing happens before she is rescued. The art and voice acting for the scenes is meh- but I played this game to feel warm in me tummy. and I did! The setting is college age, so older than the predecessor, so the story tackles some more mature issues than the last. Although by no means are they trying hard to be white collar adults, the comedy can be crude or childish, If you don't like that kind of thing don't play! The ending/couple options are [spoiler] Monogamy with either male lead, monogamy with female side char, or poly with both male leads. although to get the poly ending, you need both true monogamy endings first. [/spoiler] Soundtrack is phenomenal, interactions are funny, and seeing two people understand their feelings for each other and falling in love is always such a nice feeling for myself. No. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ no. Weird views on rape. Dialogue during sex scenes is horrendous. Protag is ditz that ruins the atmosphere immediately. The "mini-Ryuusei" scenario is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ disgusting. Had to turn the SFX off for the sex scenes cuz I kept getting hungry for mac and cheese. Bought the DLC when I first bought the game, played one of them for a bit and it wasn't even voiced. Didn't bother finishing any of the DLC. Not MangaGamer's fault. Translation was fine. This is just a really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game. Only silver lining is the OST is great.

I finished both characters good and normal ends so here's my review: Good: ● Sexually confident heroine ● Skip to next choice function ● The translation making the dialogue funnier than it really is Bad: ● [spoiler]Rape[/spoiler] as a unnecessary plot(?) device ● Prologue of the game and the rest of the game go in completely different directions ● Lack of romance building, the guys fall in love with the heroine immediately & vice versa. There's no conflict and the "bad guy" is just thrown in to move the plot (?) along. ● Awful anatomy in the CGs ● Lacking the gag humor that Fashioning Miss Lonesome had ● The ero scenes really do sound like someone is making mac 'n cheese 😂😂😂 ● The R-18 scenes have the guys almost fully clothed while the heroine is completely naked, even tho it's supposed to be an otome game ● There's visible sex with a minor because [spoiler] the heroine wants one of the guys to be in a child's form before doing with him [/spoiler] W T F. The game intro claims the heroine is this horny princess who just wants to bang every guy on earth. The moment she bangs both LIs though she's like "nah actually I just wanna bang these 2 and nobody else" and eventually once you get into a route it turns into "no I really just want to bang the guy I wuv uwu". I mean that's ok and all but then don't send a misleading message making it seem like she's this horny insatiable slut at the beginning. The only one keeping true to that is basically the maid who bangs multiple guys (including the [spoiler]rapist[/spoiler] lmfao) . I got this game cause the intro was funny and I thought it was gonna be as funny as Fashioning Miss Lonesome but it ended up being kind of a drag. I downloaded the R-18 patch, but you could honestly skip that because most of the game is just draggy boring plot lines with about 3 ero scenes throw in for the sake of it being an R-18 game (and they're badly drawn anyway.)

When I first heard the announcement back in 2018 I felt iffy since there hadn’t been any reviews of the original VN even back then when I searched for it. At the time of the release date, there were no reviews anywhere so I figured I’d review at least one otome before 2020 ended. I looked up the VNDB and it had some VA I liked and art was OK not my favorite style ofc but it was fine. According to Steam, I clocked in 2+ hours before hitting the refund button, and here are my thoughts on the intro and the characters. Marika is a pretty outgoing MC and her maid Sanae provides a serious foil to her antics as her caretaker. Then the two LI Kaoru and Ryuusei which mostly were opposites and oddly had a lot of good chemistry with each other than the MC. I got a good sense of the writing but I got sidetracked with other games since I felt that there was a lack of momentum in the story. I’m aware that the story isn’t the most adventure/action genre but I felt it fell into a sense of why do I care about these characters? Why do I care about the MC’s struggles? The overall feeling is I didn’t find a connection or reason for the cast or story at all. Meanwhile, I see someone has written a steam review and I read it before I decide to refund the game for their specific reason how there was a problematic scene that wasn’t mentioned at all from the store page. I can deal with problematic scenes but it bothered me in particular since it was un-tagged in an ocean of keywords “romantic comedy,” “Proactive MC,” and “Light-hearted” I felt was complete tonal whiplash and there are days where I just rather not. If I had been aware from the beginning I wouldn’t have considered buying the game due to this content. I’m aware that a majority of R18 otome faces the same problem and it’s one of the reasons I’m always cautious about localization of new titles. For now, I’ll keep waiting for a decent R18 otome and hope for better titles in the future.

But that actually made me a little bit happy, maybe I was just silly but I thought that maybe it's a sign I'm not that perverted after all XD So, judging by the name I expected to read some shallow smutty story but surprisingly I got so much more. \o/ Yeah, the story starts with a magical princess coming to Earth to find a husband. First scenes were hot enough to deceive me xD But then everything changed so drastically. MC turned out to be curious to explore the new world in general. It was so fun to compare how things work in different worlds, especially concerning morale. And two earthly boys, so naive and innocent at first, changed with the heroine after all that interaction. Tho I dunno, that flashy title... wouldn't it be a bit disappointing for players who came for mature story but got a romantic plot of exploring dif worlds and cultures, from first sex talks to realization how special ONE person can become... And wouldn't that name of the game kinda push away players who could enjoy some romantic story. The story is not very short, covering really different aspects of life. By the way, written very nicely, no typos noticed. So, having low expectations I suddenly realized how deeply I am captivated by the plot. And in both routes. I liked how those two love options presented not just different visuals for the same main story, nope, their separate stories felt self-sufficient, quite fascinating. I started with Ryuusei and was greatly engrossed by his magic exploration, his personal traits. Boys seemed almost contrastingly opposite but so appealingly adorable. Plus, the game is really funny. I smiled and snickered so much, my facial muscles hurt. She felt too alien to our world, so I couldn't self-insert as I usually do, tho I gave her my name. Plus, the narration sometimes changed and the events were shown through the eyes of dif chars. I found it a bit distracting first but I started enjoying it later, it helped to understand the others better. She is so flirty, frivolous & upfront, making the first move all the time, often very aggressively, she still talks about consent all the time, that's quite admirable. On the one hand it seems they treat sex too lightly, equaling it to mere conversation, lol but they have it protected by their magic, so they aren't afraid of any std or pregnancy and when they mentioned our kind of sex with possible conception, mc blushed and said it was almost sacred for them. In this regard they are even more prudes than ppl xD 'cause we don't treat sex as some holy act when a new life magically appears, it's just pleasure, for absolute majority. So, should we even stigmatize MC as inappropriately slu*ty?! To sum it up, things I enjoyed: +visuals are nice, chibi CGs are especially cute. Everything is neatly organized in the gallery; +light, magical, romantic story with mature content; +Japanese voice acting always makes any visual novel so much more fascinating; +achievements and a helpful guide, I personally used to get the last tricky achs; +at the full completion you get a downloadable gift. It doesn't mean I'm gonna listen often all those voice files but, you know, the very gesture was heartwarming. Tho I admit I didn't hate it, it left me indifferent. Others may see it as a plus; -you need to install the patch for adult content, it's free tho. So, I wanted a silly, smutty game but I got a rather romantic story with a nice character development.
