About
Welcome to Funnel Runners, where you will have your first on-site deployment with APEX Storm Monitoring Services.
A high-priority F5 tornado is approaching, and we are counting on you (and up to 7 fellow friends) to collect data, scavenge necessary information, and, of course, survive.

The weather is your worst enemy here. Tornados and storms will spawn randomly, grow stronger over time, and tear the whole map apart. Buildings will collapse piece by piece, and items will no longer be found in destroyed areas, so you must adapt quickly. Be careful not to be swept up by the wind; you may not be found again.

In this mission, you can team up with 7 other players or tackle it solo. Share gadgets, split up to cover more ground, collect necessary information and items to fix the van before the situation turns bad.
With realistic graphics and a first-person perspective, the experience brings you close to every gust of wind, distant siren, and falling piece of debris.

Scavenge the collapsing city for scattered vehicle parts, fuel, and tools. These items will allow you to repair your van and help you survive the storm. Each playthrough features randomized environments, weather, items, and problems to solve on your vehicle. No playthrough will be the same.

I was ecstatic at first to see a game like this, with actual good graphics. While I'd like to give the game the benefit of the doubt considering it's in Early Access, it still doesn't feel like its in an acceptable state. Apart from the glaring issues I had during a couple of play session, the gameplay loop gets repetitive very fast once the novelty wears off. This isn't Early Access, it's a demo. This game is just plagued with instability issues. Sure could be a problem with my setup but every other game I play would beg to differ considering they function completely fine. Apart from the obscenely long loading times, the game frequently crashes when loading, massive frame drops at random moments, and for some reason, it keeps messing with my audio and makes my mic lag? I don't know what's up but this doesn't really make me want to give the game another shot.

The atmosphere and visuals of this game are amazing, and the foundation is solid. I've played god knows how many EA titles at this point that I couldn't even compliment the foundation with months of it being out, and in a week I feel like a house flipper saying "it's got good bones." As I just dropped, at the time of this review, the game has been out in early access for a week, and at this stage the bones are really all it has. The loop is repetitive with not much to do except for a have a good laugh with some buddies and run the scenario a few times. Me and my pals enjoy that, but if you're solo or that's not your group's thing, then maybe wait it out a few updates. Overall, I'm excited to see where this game goes. If I had to offer any immediate feedback for the devs it would come down to two simple things while they work out more content 1) Increase the randomness of repair items for the main objective and board objectives: Most of my runs saw tires, gas, I only got oil a couple of times, coolant once, and never needed a battery. I'm not sure if this reflects most of what other people are seeing and I do only have a couple hours in, but really shake that pool up so I never know what I need to be on the look out for. As far as board objectives, I mostly got open three doors with a crowbar and collect apex coins once. In the short term I think better randomizing these objectives, and slipping in a few more, could really buy some time on the repetitive nature of the game. 2) QTE's haven't seen widespread use this decade for good reason. Resident Evil pretty well beat the concept to death by 6, and Microsoft's QTE simulator, Ryse, nailed the coffin shut. Benefit of the doubt, I can understand them being an easy element to put more stress on actions given the short timespan of the release, and they do add an element of being interactive above "HOLD LMB." In a grand scheme, they're barely interactive and are a major factor in the complaints of the repetitive nature of the current gameplay loop, especially since it is the same QTE for every action. Jokes and complaints aside, I hope these are just a TEMPORARY element and that more interactive minigames come later. Feedback over. In conclusion, good bones, kind of repetitive, don't expect to win every time, bring some friends, and again I can't wait to see where this goes.
Thy game is thus perfect as thy rubies.
Intense good fun! Few glitches (in game voice & some people couldn't see the crowbar) but it's to be expected in early access

crazy fun. gets the blood going.
Really great game just like all the other positive comments in here say. I do hope in the future there will be more "depth". Instead of a 5-10 min round where you never get to drive the vehicle and simply run around a small neighborhood it would be awesome to visit multiple neighbor hoods with different building types that hadn't been affected by weather yet or less so. Wish it felt more like progression being made or chasing storms than a simple load in and loot. Either way fun game for the price and really excited to see where it goes in the future.
