everyone is focusing on the spooky boys (which, let me be clear, is a huge part of why this game rocks - they GO for it). but we should also acknowledge that this is one of the best "linguistics-style" learning games out there. i worked in a linguistics lab in college and am very picky about movies/games that are about learning language or communicating across a barrier. no game has ever captured that interesting language-barrier-gameplay like this one. it lets itself be challenging by not auto-locking in definitions, meaning you have to pay close attention and label words with detail and context if you want to make sure they're used correctly. l love that they make it an honest, real challenge. It differentiates itself from games like Chants of Senaar, which lets the player have a safety net of confirmation. anyway, play this if you are a dating sim and horror fan who also wants to crack language puzzles in a way that makes you feel real smart n'at

this was AMAZING. it was so much fun getting all the different endings! i absolutely adore mr. crawling, mr. silvair and mr. scarletella but literally every single character here was so interesting to learn about. <3

i don't usually write reviews but for this game i really have to because oh my god it's one of the best visual novel games i've ever played. it's so well written, honestly everything is so perfect and it's worth every penny. i love Mr. Crawling, Mr. Silvair, Mr. Scarletella, Mr. Machete, Mr. Chopped and The Bride, i don't usually favour a lot of characters from a visual novel game but this game completely changed that and i'm very fond of Mr. Crawling, he's so cute and silly. at the beginning when he protected us from Mr. Scarletella and we saw the angle of his neck... let's just say i'm no better than a man.

期待了很久才买，因为总是不打折。 一直有新的好评出来，还以为是个特殊好玩的乙女游戏。 结果进去这TM啥啊，我玩的是全异世界版本，我心想再怎么游戏都得让人通关吧。 结果一点提示也没。就猜猜猜。不猜就点点点往后过。= =神如经。这游戏能不能出来一个人讲人话啊。 游戏性几乎没有。 然后大家买之前一定要看完所有差评，我就是放漏这个游戏没看差评被害了，没想到都没做完作者跑路了。其他作者雷点不了解，但是我真是服了。 我都不知道打好评的人在玩些什么。你有本事开我这个模式来男鬼恋爱，真的一点提示也没，自己猜，猜猜猜，谈恋爱第一不就是沟通吗，猜什么猜，那么爱猜为啥不去玩谐音梗那些。而且我在一个多语言环境工作，60%时间也靠猜，但是我工作我有实感猜的对，打个游戏而已，烦的要命。

It's an amazing game, by the way. I love playing it every now and then—the visuals are incredible. The gameplay takes a little getting used to at first, but it's really given me some scares, and I absolutely love Mr. Crawling!(>؂ •́)ᕗ⊹ ࣪ ˖

ПРОЧИТАЙТЕ ПЕРЕД ТЕМ КАК ПОКУПАТЬ ИГРУ несомненно это уникальная визуальная новелла со своей уникальной механикой изучения языка. в первые часы она вас влюбит в себя, игра с лиминальностью до того как это стало мейнстримом, жуткая атмосфера, интересные внешне монстры и нагнетающий эмбиент. но на этом все заканчивается, игра не стоит своих денег, серьезно, как всегда япошки завышают цены. новелла короткая, ладно бог с этим, нотолько пару концовок нормальные, все остальные - бесмысленные и не информативные и существуют только для того, чтобы тупо создать иллюзию что у тебя есть много-много концовок, и вот иди наиграй еще пару часиков чтобы было впечатление что наша игра длинная. а по сути это просто обрубки с надписью "конец", что там с гг дальше будет, да ♥♥♥ его знает. так же хочу придраться к спрайтам, большая часть - это отфотошопленные стоковые пнг картинки, тоже самое с фонами. да, использующиеся фотки из тырнета частый прием в вн, но я бы не ныла, если бы цена на новеллу была нормальной. просто не мучайтесь, скачайте хомисайфер с зеленого интернета или апк на телефон и потратьте деньги на более стоящую игру.

I can't believe I put off getting this game for so long. I was really worried about it being a one-note horror otome, and I'm so glad I was wrong! Deciphering the language that the characters speak is such a fun way to interact! I found it hard to decode some words but that made going back through the game very rewarding. As you learn more words, you can use context clues to decode the ones you missed before. It feels very intuitive. I will be honest and say that even if you aren't able to figure out the words on your own, the game is still worth playing because the story is still very compelling. I do think it's worth it to try to figure out the words on your own though. The artwork is incredible and haunting without necessarily being "horrific" if that makes sense. I loved the blend of real photo textures on certain enemies to enhance the uncanny vibe they give off. My favorite design would be Mr. Scarletella! His bright red design is so eye-catching, but I also enjoy how clean his clothing is. It's a subtle way to show how he doesn't "fit in". The characters of Homicipher are super charming as well! It's kind of funny how wholesome a lot of them are. Mr. Crawling deserves all the praise and love that the community tab showers upon him. He is one of the best parts of the game and I loved having him with me for the journey through this other world. Overall I loved deciphering the language and watching the characters try to guide and teach me. They were so patient and considerate that it's hard to label them as horrifying! 10/10 fully recommend this game for any otome fans that want to try playing an otome that goes beyond just being a visual novel! I would love to see more games like this!

i didnt expect to love this game so much that i would clock in 10 hours straight just to 100% this game for all endings and all CGs!! i would say this isnt really a 'romance' visual novel game but its equally as entertaining with a ton of story branches and lore. also, the language deciphering element!! super fun. had me wrecking my brain but once you got a good amount of words in, it gets easier! highly recommended! MR CRAWLING!!!! such a precious bean! Mr Chopped too!! super adorable
