About
Fungal Colony Sim 2 is a reimagining of the original using all the skills I've gained in the years since making it. Harvest mushrooms by sweeping your axe across the land, reinvest those mushrooms back into your hivemind and grow larger! Reach new areas to gather new types of mushrooms!
3D rendering! We added a whole third dimension. No more PNGs with faked depth!
Less clicking! We really weren't happy with the volume of clicking in the first game, and this one has taken a minimalistic approach to the interface
Massive Upgrade Tree! We reimagined the way upgrades are done to be more understandable and interactive.
Multiple zones! Unlock new biomes to explore as you progress, and find new types of mushrooms to upgrade yourself with!
And much more! This is a complete reimagining from the ground up, and I can't explain it all here!

After 20h playtime and 28/29 achievments i can say, this game is really fun and relaxing.

As someone who really enjoys incremental games, I came into this one with high hopes, especially knowing it's a solo developer’s project. Unfortunately, the early progression feels like it’s stuck in first gear. The grind goes beyond the usual satisfying feedback loop you’d expect from the genre, instead landing squarely in the territory of tedium. Rather than clicking or making clear, interesting decisions, I found myself mechanically circling the mouse for hours because it’s marginally more efficient—definitely not the kind of engagement I look for. The game could benefit from a serious rebalance, especially at the start. If you’re a fan of extremely slow, repetitive progress, there might be something here for you, but for most incremental game fans, this one could test your patience more than your strategy. Even the achievements feel more like a chore than a challenge, with some appearing to demand hours of monotonous input. If the core loop gets tweaked or streamlined in future updates, I’d be open to revisiting it. For now, it’s an admirable solo effort that just doesn’t quite capture what makes the genre addictive.
Hello, after 39.9h i feeli blocked at catching lvl 20 spore which is a bit frustrating. 1st : i think the prestige bonuses are still too weak too. Prestige upgrades costs are exponentials but rewards for convergence are not even close. 2nd : There is an issue on rewards after cleaning a level. You have 20% chance to get a multiplier so 4/5 times for example you get 50k and once you get 150-200k (lvl 50 axe, 1024k on all xp upgrades and around 1M on all multipliers). This feels not really good coz you can notice it afte 2 seconds :). Idk if it's because of golden axe proc or chance to double harvest proc (this one seem to proc only at the start of of level), or both lol. Golden axe should be 100% chance imo lol. 3rd and last : XP base upgrades exponentials become very grindy quite quickly (4056k for me). Idk if all of that is intended but the fall off of dopamine after lvl 50 is a bit frustrating :). However all i am talking bout here is about endgame achievements if you want the last STEAM success. If you don't use prestige and just feel like to end the principal part of the game, i would recommend it, relaxing for a few hours :)
Man I hate to give a solo dev a thumbs down. I love love incremental games, but this one was uninspired and, dare I say it, *too* grindy. The beginning really needs to be rebalanced. I finally figured out it was more efficient to quickly move the mouse in circles rather than sit and chop, so it became hours of moving the mouse in circles. I groaned when I saw the last Steam achievement, knowing it would take hours to get. We'll see if I do it.
