AMAZING....though pretty hard...THOUGH IF THEY ADDED FLYING AND TANK ENEMIES...THEN IM A HAPPY BOY
蛮好玩的小游戏
Edit: I'm recommending it because even though I absolutely still believe everything below, I can't stay away from the currently dinky sandbox we have. Please lord grant me patience; and a lookback button for a peek 180 degrees away from where I'm aiming. Unpolished and repetitive. It has good bones, but it has a long way to go, and the HUGE difficulty spike or the giant Treadwheel boss is really frustrating. Grinding and Grinding for incremental upgrades, hoping you drop an S class of the right gear for the tiniest edge in a boss battle that has to be done at max range. Get close enough to start to pick off the minions for a heal, you're well within the range of the eight giant rocketlaunchers. Also hope you don't get hung up on any of the level geometry the boss gets to ignore, because he'll park directly on top of you and end your run. I would not be leaving this review were it not for this boss. I should be able to sit down at this game for an hour and get at least some progress, mind you get NOTHING for whitling the boss down to 3/4 health over 10-15 minutes when he parks on top of you and ends your run, no xp, no scrap, just frustration. Oh also the new boss arena is a four minute drive away in the center of the mud and impassable scrap biome. If every little lump is going to turn all of our horizontal momentum into vertical momentum, at least give us some air control. Too many of the incredibly overscaled fights against the ferris wheel ended when I bounced off a crate I couldn't possibly have seen, you know, because I'm shooting at a boss behind me without a rearview/frontview mirror, and knew instinctively the run was over because I wasn't going to land on my wheels and had no say in the matter. This means that all of my momentum was about to go away, and Frank the Ferris Wheel was about to park on top of me and end my run.
Fun
Great fun game, gives me Twisted Metal + Crossout vibes. Early Access so there is limited content and expected bugs, but this game packs a unique experience, and roadmap looks promising for the content.
If MadMax got together with Twisted Metal and Fuel and decided to have a kid. This is what we got here and I gotta say it is quite epic!
Absolutely loved this title from the crazy beginning to the bitter end. Haven't had this much fun raw car combat chaos since the beloved Twisted Metal series. Very much looking forward to future updates and I can't wait to see what's in store. Just an excellent little game. Co-op update is AMAZING.
played 5hrs straight. Game is really fun so far and I am sure coop is a blast.
10 OUT OF FU@#$NG 10 BOYS IF YOU LIKE MAD MAX U NEED TO PLAY THIS
In an era where most games demand your time and energy for tedious grind and reward you with even more grind, FUMES delivers the best possible compromise between progression and pure dopamine. You can "finish" the game in about 5 hours if all you do is go for the next boss and next unlock, and during that time you'll have non-stop action and listen to a decent (if repetitive) soundtrack. The game is no-nonsense, every gameplay mechanic exists to maximize one factor: fun. That's honestly the best way tod escribe FUMES, it's simple, mindless, stylized FUN that you can share with a friend. There's a lot to like about this game, but without a doubt the most important aspect is that it respects your time and delivers you immediately into the action and pays close attention to making sure you'll never be bored or too frustrated. This game is worth every penny, cannot recommend it enough. Once they release the "B side" of the soundtrack, it will be a 10/10 game.
