This game is really for anyone who really wants to play the role of NFL GM (not for those who want the play by play) aspects. Though it does allow a good bit of game planning and in game play calling (or you can let the computer do it) the real point is building your team through wise drafting and shrewd trades (and sometimes hard choices to manage the Salary Cap). Nothing else like it.
FOF7 was a game that I bought initially, launched it, and then put it down instantly because I had no idea what I was doing. Thankfully, I decided to give the game another shot a year later, and I've put over 600 hours into it since. This game is great, and I would highly recommend it if you like football statistics or fantasy football. FOF8 has been out for awhile now, and I would recommend checking out 8 as opposed to 7 at this point.
I had this in my game library for ages and had hardly played it. Got frustrated with the limited elements of Madden 19 and wanted something that was less console and more PC and tried this again. Now absolutely hooked - just led Dallas to their second "super" Bowl with years of 15-1 and 14-2. Regularly juggling player personality clashes, having no cap left to spend and trying to find that star of the future in the draft. The option I have played is full draft and drafting a team from scratch - great fun. Despite not being from the US and having only a limited knowledge of some of the finer points - this is a hit. I always play on simulation mode but that is because I love the contracts side and blending the team more. Next season is going to be tough as I have already franchised Cam Newton last season and he is going to want a big pay day as a free agent. Can't wait!
Great game and series. The best GM football simulator I've ever played.
A AI é outro ponto positivo do jogo no Single Player.
New England went 5-11 and missed the playoffs.....0/10 they should have Deflated the footballs.
I got into american football a couple of years ago, and bought this game. I didn't play it much at the time, as I didn't know to much about the tactical aspects of the game. But after playing a few years of Madden, and finding the lack of depth a bit annoying, I remembered this game. I've played it a lot over the past months, and I really enjoy it!
Played for 5 straight hours. Still haven't made the playoffs. 10/10
Been playing this series since the first version. About as high quality a sim as you'll find. Highly recommend this and the upcoming version.
A decent NFL football sports simulator like OOTP baseball.
