Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Aug 20 → 7.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Step into the role of Kazuki and Ryogo as tensions rise across volatile military zones. With the fate of the region hanging in the balance, command towering Wanzers and lead your squad through intense, turn-based battles.
FRONT MISSION 3: Remake is a tactical RPG set in a future where nations and corporations compete for dominance in a world shaped by powerful mechs called Wanzers. The game follows two diverging storylines based on an early choice made by the protagonist, Kazuki Takemura. Both narratives focus on a global conspiracy involving secret weapons, corporate greed, and nationalistic agendas.
The game begins with Kazuki and his best friend Ryogo unwittingly becoming embroiled in a military conflict after a routine delivery to a military base. Depending on the player's choice, Kazuki either joins up with his sister Alisa, or with an operative investigating a covert weapon project M.I.D.A.S., Emma Klamsky.
In both routes, themes of loyalty, family, and the ethics of technology are explored as Kazuki and his team fight to uncover the truth and prevent catastrophic consequences.
• Two different engaging storylines – dive into two immersive storylines defined by your choices in the game, each offering unique perspectives and challenges.

The remake ai abused status inflicting attacks a lot more than the original

As a preface the only other Front Mission I've put any time into is the remake of 1 so I can't make any comparisons to the original version, but even with just that limited background with the series I've got to say I've been massively disappointed with this one. In all ways but volume of lore and cutscenes 3 is a big step backwards from 1: the battles are much simpler, the RPG mechanics much less engaging and the story (so far) is very bland and padded. -In Front Mission 1 you fielded on average around 10 units per battle in the first campaign, 5 in the second, but in 3 you never get more than 4 units and stun effects are far more common and repair abilities far rarer which means a lot of the time you don't even have the full 4 -In Front Mission 1 you had skills that triggered frequently and that you could choose whether to use or not with benefits to both options, in 3 they're all pure RNG and almost never trigger even when you stack the highest probability ones -In Front Mission 1 only missiles were ranged so you could feasibly force enemy aggression onto tankier units or funnel enemies with terrain and intelligent positioning, in 3 everything but melee has range so enemies can just ignore front liners and shoot whoever they want (not that you can really afford to split roles like that anyway since you only have 4 units) -In Front Mission 1 you have loads of different parts to choose from, and while admittedly each new set unlocked does generally make the previous one obsolete 3 still manages to have far less meaningful parts options because all parts have the exact same stats and only change what skills you can (rarely) learn from them -I don't have much to say about the story since I haven't finished it yet, but 1's story felt very well bounded with one antagonist in one setting and while the characters were simple they were at worst inoffensive. 3's story has been all over the place with many battles in places that didn't matter against enemies who didn't matter and the protagonists are so obnoxious that I think I'd rather be playing the other side of the conflict. If you're interested in the franchise, don't start with this one. If you've played the others already and want more, don't expect this one to be better.
ITS okay for nostalgia Playstation 1
Animations are bad. Nothing really improved much from their first 2 stints, so don't expect another improvement here either. If you want to buy it just to give them support just to make sure they try even more later, go ahead. But if you still have your original version on the PS1, just fire it up. Don't bother getting this unless you don't have the original game. There is definitely an attempt to imitate FM5's animation but it's just not well thought out enough. Lacks fluidity and camerawork and a good deal of camera and FOV blur. Everything is just saturated to hell and even colouring your mechs don't work like how it would on the original version of the game on the PS1. Just a rather sad attempt at stirring up nostalgia. Only thing they got closely right was just the mechanics of the game. They REALLY need to focus on getting the animation and something stylised. It really feels like the art and animation is just a checkbox to be filled. Edit 1: The more I see gameplay on this, I realise the 2D assets look like they are Generative AI that's helping with the upscale. Buyers beware
The original game is one of my absolute all-time favourites. And I find this remake quite competent. It preserves the spirit of the original FM3 very well, especially with the OG soundtrack. QoL improvements, such as network update notifications, new layout, and password hints, are really welcome. Achievements are cool too :) Graphically, game looks good - modern lighting, shadows, and beautifully rendered water, all help in setting a great mood across many maps. Speaking of maps, they no longer look like dioramas (as in the OG game) with visible "world's end" edges, as charming as that was. Maps continue far beyond the playing area, creating a natural background that nicely fits in a more grounded vibe of the remake. Wanzers' silhouettes are still distinct and readable, even from bird's eye view. Combat animations actually do sell the weightiness of impacts, at least to me. Aesthetics of the original FM3 are still great, but the remake's look does not "win or lose" against them, it is just its own thing. And I like it just the same. Also, I dig the remake's soundscape. New sounds gel nicely with a more realistic look of the game. Sounds of the machines and environments are always relative to the cursor (map pointer), so you can get "closer" to anything on the map and take it in. Most importantly, the game within it all still holds up real good. Some missions will really _require_ developing an actual tactical approach to the situation at hand, taking some chances, doing some "trial and error" stuff. There is much to learn and manage in this game, and that's a large part of the fun. Politcal story of the game couldn't be more relevant in our current troubled times. Characters are great. No wonder they stayed with me throughout the years. While the protagonist, Kaz, is a hot-shot, his teammates are always up there to help with true common sense decision making, appropriate humor, and relatable personal struggles. We all need such people in our lives (and strive to be that way too), and I mean it. What else to say, it's Front Mission 3, and it's back. A lovely game, with a refreshed take on itself ("новое прочтение"). Does not replace the original, as that is never a goal of any proper remake, but stands alongside it. And stands tall, in my opinion. Credit where credit is due.
Unless you really love Front Mission 3, I don't think this is worth the purchase. It's like they decided for whatever reason to remake the game for PS3 and then port it to PC/PS5. They took the time to create new models, animations, music, etc. etc. Honestly, I prefer the PSX graphics better, lol. Anyway, I'm still playin' it 'cause I loved the game when I was a kid.
True MASTERPIECE of the Legendary Play Station 1 era! Must have. They even made it possible to switch to the ORIGINAL PS1 SOUNDS AND MUSIC! I wish there was an option to switch to the ORIGINAL PS1 32BIT graphics.
This game is stupid (or maybe it’s just me?). I started it and my character — some robot — was just standing there. I couldn’t move, couldn’t interact, nothing. Mouse didn’t work, keyboard didn’t work, no hint what I was supposed to do. The only popup said “Press R to change weapon.” Even when I pressed it, nothing happened, only i could choose another weapon. But to apply. WT f? Uninstall. Bye.
