Frogmageddon is a really solid game! The core game loop is simple and addicting, the visuals are cute, the audio is great, and overall the game has good polish. Having multiple modes keeps the game fresh which was nice. As for things i would like to see, the expert mode seems to be missing several of the frog types. I am not sure if this is intentional to make the mode harder, but it felt a bit inconsistent. It would also be cool if endless mode had a "build your army" type of option where different frog types could be toggled on and off before starting a run to try different builds. Overall, very good game! I have had a lot of fun so far and am anticipating it staying fun for a while longer :3

Eggy Frog is life. Great game with lots of different gamemodes! The art is very cute, and the gameplay of controlling a horde of frogs is unique and fun. Every one of your frogs is doing some attack based on their type, and they also effectively visualize your health pool in a slick way (your health = number of frogs). This game makes me hoppy to see, definitely recommend!
KING SNEK AINT NOTHIN TO ME MAN
Gameplay is so polished and the art is so cute. I was not expecting there to be lore but I was very pleasantly surprised! 10/10 would recommend and is definitely worth the $5.
Some of you may die, but that is a sacrifice I am willing to make Look this game simply rocks. It's so silly and fun and 100% worth 5 United States dollars. Lots of silly game modes that really do change the gameplay up.
I wanted to like this game. I followed its development and was genuinely excited for release. But after losing an hour of progress to a system freeze on the final level, I have to be honest. Something felt off while playing, and I finally realized what: there's no agency. Every survivors game I've played - Vampire Survivors, Brotato, Death Must Die, Halls of Torment, Megabonk - gives you meaningful decisions. Level up, pick an upgrade, weigh your options. It's the core loop that keeps your hands and brain engaged. Frogmageddon doesn't have this. Frogs are random. You're just watching chaos unfold with no meaningful input. My hands were bored. Game design is subjective though, so take that as you will. My technical gripes are not subjective. On the final level, my entire desktop session froze and crashed. Not just the game - my Linux session died and I had to log back in. No worries, I thought, I'll just restart. All my progress was gone. An hour of grinding through every level, erased. Feeling curious, I decompiled the game. I discovered that the save system only triggers on clean exit - a crash or freeze means your progress simply vanishes. No checkpoints between levels, no autosave, nothing. But the performance issues are what likely caused the freeze in the first place. This game is a textbook candidate for Entity Component System architecture - hundreds of identical enemies all doing the same thing. Instead, every enemy is its own MonoBehaviour doing redundant work every frame. Enemy tracking uses inefficient data structures that scale terribly. Object pooling scans linearly instead of using proper lookups. It works fine for 20 enemies. At 200+, these problems compound exponentially until the game consumes enough resources that the kernel starts killing processes. A 2D frog game ate enough RAM that Linux had to execute my desktop environment to free memory. I have 32GB of RAM. The concept is fun, the art is charming, but the execution is fundamentally flawed. This wasted my time, but I won't let it waste my money. Refunded.
Frogmageddon + Pesticide Not Required round out any frog loving rougelites collection.
