Honestly, this game is amazing. I really do recommend it. It's so refreshing and different to anything I've ever played before. And of course, it's also simply super cute and funny.
Frog's Adventure is a small but remarkably charming point-and-click adventure that perfectly captures Sokpop Collective’s talent for creating cozy, personality-driven games with minimal friction and maximum heart. Developed and published by Sokpop Collective, the game embraces a deliberately modest scope, yet within that compact frame it delivers a memorable experience built on gentle humor, whimsical storytelling, and a strong sense of playful curiosity. From the very beginning, it establishes a tone that feels relaxed and inviting, encouraging players to slow down, explore, and enjoy the odd little world it presents rather than rush toward an endpoint. The premise is delightfully absurd in a way that feels quintessentially Sokpop. You play as a frog who, thanks to the meddling of a fairy, suddenly gains human-level intelligence. While this might sound like a blessing, it quickly becomes clear that the frog is deeply uncomfortable with this change and longs to return to a simpler, more instinct-driven existence. This simple motivation drives the entire adventure and provides a surprisingly relatable emotional core. As you chase after the fairy to undo the spell, you encounter a range of other animals who have been similarly affected, each one bringing their own quirky personality and small narrative threads into the larger journey. The writing never overstays its welcome, but it consistently lands small jokes and moments of warmth that make the world feel alive. Visually, Frog’s Adventure leans heavily into a hand-drawn, sketchbook-like art style that immediately sets it apart. Characters and environments look as if they were illustrated with pencil and lightly colored, giving the game a storybook quality that feels intimate and personal. Animations are subtle but expressive, allowing even simple movements to convey emotion and humor. This visual approach works in perfect harmony with the game’s tone, reinforcing the sense that you are exploring a tiny, gentle world rather than a grand or dangerous one. The soundtrack complements this beautifully, offering soft, unobtrusive music that enhances the atmosphere without ever demanding attention, making the overall presentation feel cohesive and carefully considered. Gameplay sticks closely to classic point-and-click adventure conventions, prioritizing accessibility and clarity. You move through the world by interacting with characters, objects, and environments using simple mouse controls, collecting items and using them to solve puzzles or help other characters. There is no combat, no timers, and no punishment for experimentation, which makes the experience welcoming even to players who are new to adventure games. Puzzles are generally intuitive, relying more on observation and logical connections than on obscure solutions, though there are moments that encourage lateral thinking or revisiting earlier areas with new tools or abilities. This structure keeps the pacing smooth and reinforces the feeling of a relaxed, low-pressure journey. Despite its simplicity, the game manages to feel thoughtfully designed. Progression is steady, with new areas, abilities, and interactions unfolding at a comfortable pace. The relatively short runtime, which can be completed in a single sitting, feels intentional rather than limiting. Frog’s Adventure knows exactly how much content it needs to deliver its idea without padding or repetition, and that restraint is one of its strengths. The experience ends before it risks becoming stale, leaving players with a sense of satisfaction and fondness rather than fatigue. Ultimately, Frog’s Adventure is a clear example of how a small indie game can leave a strong impression through charm, cohesion, and confidence in its own identity. It doesn’t aim to challenge players mechanically or overwhelm them with systems; instead, it focuses on creating a warm, whimsical space that rewards curiosity and attentiveness. Fans of Sokpop Collective’s previous work will find everything they enjoy here distilled into a compact form, while newcomers will discover an approachable and endearing entry point into the studio’s distinctive style. For players seeking a cozy, lighthearted adventure that values personality over spectacle, Frog’s Adventure offers a short but genuinely delightful escape. Rating: 8/10
很可爱的解密小游戏,全英文但不难,剧情比较无厘头,唯一问题是操作手感不太行,只能鼠标移动。
What an adorable little game. I had started this game already about a year or so ago, and remember stopping after I got stuck on puzzle. Now a few years later, back on it and it was a breeze. The art style is to die for, it's very charming and the story is cute. Don't expect too much of it, but for the price it's being sold at, you'll get a couple of hours of fun on a cute little frog game. Went for all the achievements, the rarest one being a little tedious as it requires you to speedrun it. Loved it, would love another game with these vibes and all hand drawn!
Makes you feel like a kid again
Felt the urge to play a game with a FROG in it, and this delivers. It's a good frog. You get to befriend a jumping crocodile, too. That's pretty good. Also the premise of the game, that having thoughts is a curse, is too real.
Playing this games has truly been the greatest experience. I absolutely loved the handmade, authentic feeling of the visuals and the sounds. Believe it or not, this has been the first game I have ever finished in my life, and I am so glad my initiation into the gaming world has been completed within the world of Frog's Adventure. The game has been super easy to navigate and it definitely kept me engaged for a good couple of hours. The quests were fun and straightforward, but not to a point of being boring - I even had a moment where I considered browsing the web for help, since I got a little stuck not being able to wrap my head around what to do next. Overall, a fantastic experience. Money very well spent!
A really small scale game that I found really well made. It's adorable first of all. It's really pretty (I feel). The rythm of the game is not really varied but it is a really good exemple of a simple task game that is worth your time. It runs really well on the steam deck. I had a super good time on it and as a (maybe) future game maker I hope to be able to make some games like this at some point in my life. I think that's quite the achievement, and for the price it's honestly super worth it.
This a chill game where you play as a frog and try to become stupid again. this game is fun but also it can be hard to.
