I really wanted to like this one, but it suffers from two gigantic problems. The first is that despite the name, it is NOT an idle game. It's a time management sim. The game requires you to regularly change the actions you're doing, and the only idle part is the few seconds of time it takes for action bars to fill. You unlock a couple automation features after a certain number of deaths, but to be honest they don't do anything useful and just managing the automation is more work than just manually doing what it's automating. It's not an idle game and shouldn't be billed as one. The second problem is that the game simply does not respect your time. It takes increasing levels of micromanagement to progress through the game, and it's not even engaging micromanagement, it's mostly you just navigating the same exact steps you did before manually. Every time you die, you have to do a completely fresh run with some increasingly negligible boosts based on the stats you've achieved across your past lives. And not only is the game really stingy about how long you're allowed to live, especially starting out, all the ways you can die are from random chance. You can prepare and lower the chances of death, but this usually costs you precious time on that run's lifespan that may stop you from completing a goal you have later on. And it feels like crap, because when you die to that 5% chance, or die because you were just ten days from completing your current task, you have to do EVERYTHING again. Completely manually. The only thing that really kept me going was that I wanted to see where the plot was going. The whole game's concept is you're waking up in some last settlement of mankind and helping it build itself up across your lives, and I thought that was cool. But after I died for the fourth time after finally unlocking magic only for it to be completely mediocre for the 2-3 hours it took, I just couldn't stomach another run. It's just exhausting to play, and the game rarely throws anything at you that feels genuinely rewarding for your efforts. I wouldn't go so far as to say it's outright bad. It's an alright time management sim, and it does have its charm - even if it's under a layer of pixelated AI art. I at least feel like I got $5 of active fun from it, But if you're looking for the next idle game to occupy your spare time with, this ain't it.
I understand the thought process behind the game and appreciate the direction the developer wanted to take this. The concept is something that I enjoyed immensely which is why I bought this in the first place. Unfortunately I think the execution wasn't really the best in the world. The reincarnation mechanic means you start from zero with some additional bonuses on each run. These bonuses initially help quite a bit, but very quickly it becomes near impossible to meaningfully progress on each run. Added on to this, unlike many incremental games, many of the next steps are obfuscated or unclear. This can lead to many lives or runs where essentially you've wasted your time and achieved nothing. This makes for a very frustrating experience where it feels like nothing of value has been achieved. I feel quite neutral about the AI Art in this game. It's not obscene and the budget of the developer is obviously low. It serves the job. The writing isn't the best in the world but it isn't horrible either. It does it's job. I hope the developer improves on those aspects in future games.
This was a fairly reasonable idler. Right up until the Black hole choice. You have no idea if you are ready, and while the game gives a warning. It's failable, Yeah, i figured it might be a hard reset with the warning. Many idlers do that for special long term currency. But putting a fialure point and screwing the player? No. Nothing is worse in an idler than wasted time and I just lost 17 hours of progress. Dodge the game. Not worth any amount of money. Not eve worth the 5 bucks I put in it.
I'd enjoy it if not for the generative AI.
Literally nothing idle about it. This is basically an incremental game and requires far too much focus with very little incentive each rebirth. Feel like i have to minmax when an idle game should never feel that way at the start
Almost decent game. Not bad for the price but there are better free idle games. If you like mindless grind. This is not really a idle game as most of the automation later and it takes time to get the ball rolling. Also dont mind the hours took many 20 hours to beat the game last achiviment is just a grind as left the game running. So not really bad value for 5 € but main problem I have is the mobile UI , scrolling is not good and the UI does not use screen on PC with lot of wasted space etc as was first a mobile game? Then has AI art too , not sure if really add to game then just use some stock icon set?
As far as incremental games go, it is terrible. The gameplay loop is obnoxious, the metaprogression is unclear and the menus make no sense. I'm willing to give this game a 0/10, Probable chat gpt 2.0 slope. I recommend a hard pass.
Nice Idle game though at first It does require some attention... Game does take A WHILE to complete cause of one of the achievements if your going for game completionist. Definetly fun and had a good story though would rate it a solid 9/10
Just play progress knight
Very good, played though it twice. Was addictive enough that I did an all nighter on a work day. It's not idle. There is automation that unlocks extremely late which will let you idle, but you'll be 3/4+ through a full play through before it actually kicks in.
