This game is FAR better than it has any right to be. Is it a bit dated? Yes Is it a complete free-running experience? No Are there minor tweaks that could have made this amazing? Definitely But for the low price (I paid £4.79) it is honestly a very well rounded and unique representation of the free-running movement. Yes the camera can be frustrating at times, and there should be much more customisation and level diversity, but you would be genuinely hard-pressed to find anything that represent free-running any better. There are games like Mirrors Edge, Dying Light and obviously Assassins Creed that have parkour elements, but this is the only game I know of that at least attempts to be somewhat authentic. tldr - for the low price, this is the best pure parkour game you'll find... for now
A very fun and nostalgic game, it's simply enjoyable to run/jump/flip/swing/wall-run around and explore the various locations while doing lots of fancy tricks. The game has quite a good amount of content for the cheap price, taking around 7-10+ hours to 100%. Although it does have a couple notable flaws that you will have to try and look past: The biggest issue is the camera, it normally tries to stick behind you, and it does a passable job most of the time, but if you try to move the camera manually, it takes a while to spin it around, with no sensitivity options I could find. This makes it rather difficult to line up jumps or see ahead sometimes, which is pretty important in a game all about movement. The other more minor problem is that it can be hard to tell where the game wants you to go at points, or where some climbable ledges are, exploration is a fairly big part of the game of course, but it wouldn't hurt to make important hard to notice objects a little more noticeable so you don't get lost, though this problem becomes less and less of a pain as you master the game, it still can make the first playthrough kinda frustrating. If these issues were fixed, the game would be truly great. But as it is now, it's still really good, and worth picking up even if you're only a bit curious.
Good game people still complain control are hard but it's possible to learn untill you learn you see how fun it is to play Well camera is a little different and i can't use it and i can't even use WASD only arrow keys so yeah butttt to use tricks you have to use the other keyboard like wasdorosarfkaor you know but to move arrow keys camera not involved It's hard but i like the game and yes I DID COMPLETE THE GAME SO cool!!!!!
The idea of the game is not bad, the gameplay is terrible. Although in principle, what year was the game released?

Challenging and addictive.
Very addictive game
good
I was recently introduced to the PlayStation 2 release, and several days later, I found that it was released on PC as well, and in 2019 a re-release. I've since compared every release. What do I think of this one? It's good, but Core Design could've done better. Let me explain. The game is all there, and everything that people loved, however only the PlayStation 2 release was developed solely by Rebellion. The PSP, Wii, and Windows releases were co-developed by Core Design. Core Design made some very disappointing changes to the original Windows release: 1. The PlayStation 2 and PSP releases had amazing post-processing effects that made the lighting vibrant and beautiful, as well as making the textures pop. The original Windows release removed these effects, causing the lighting and textures to look dull and flat. 2. Every unlockable movie was removed, and the movies menu along with it. 3. A good chunk of the music was removed. 4. Several sound effects at various points in the game were either removed or don't play. 5. The launcher has various framerate options, but they're completely useless since the game is locked to 30 FPS. I got excited when I saw there was a re-release, so I tested it out. Surely Rebellion and Core Design would've gone back and improved upon these, right? Wrong. Every single one of these issues is still present. Additionally, there's file export logs in the install directory which show developer computer paths where they compiled the assets from, as well as the entire data archive from the PSP release just slapped in there, along with data archives for some kind of demo. You can delete all of these since the game never reads from them. Looking around this game's Store and Community pages, it seems that there was once some promise that Rebellion would release modding tools for this game, however that hasn't happened 5 years later, and considering a whole lot of content was removed and wasn't re-added for the re-release, I wouldn't be surprised if all those were lost over the years and some hard drive in the studio accidentally got wiped. If you buy a copy of the PlayStation 2 release, you can emulate it using the PCSX2 emulator, crank up the resolution as high as you want, apply a widescreen patch, and uncap the framerate, which gives a better visual experience than the original Windows release as well as having all of the original content. I was hoping this re-release would have all this, but no it doesn't. Is it still a good game? Yes! Would I recommend it? Yes! Is it a unique experience that you can't find it many games? Yes! For these reasons and these reasons alone, I'm giving it a positive review, however I wish there was a "ehhhh so-so" rating since I would've given it that instead.
