The good: - interesting cover system. - Hitting the red barrels and seeing the enemies being blown away feels good. - I liked the art style. The bad: - Despite the game being short, the combat does become repetitive. - There is only a handful of enemy types (I would say 3 different types + 2 bosses, technically there is more as one of the types can have different weapons, but they feel the same, so I count them as one), the combat feels very samey throughout the entire game and not very challenging. - I did not like the head movement controlled ski sequences, would prefer to use just the thumb stick for that. - There are only 2 main weapons (a pistol with infinite ammo and an SMG with limited ammo, but you find ammo boxes for it everywhere), and 3 power-up like weapons that you pick up, shoot the ammo they contain and then they disappear (revolver, shotgun and a grenade launcher). This is not a very big arsenal IMO and most of the time I just used the SMG. - The SMG and the pistol (weapons that you will mostly use) feel inaccurate, head shots are pure accident. I am not putting the fact that this is a very short game to the negatives as I do not think it would be fun to play more of this. The game knows when to stop :) The reason for thumbs up is actually the fact that the developers decided to port this to PC and did not let the game be stuck on PSVR1, which is a good thing IMO. The game itself is like 5.5/10, it is a very short, simple and not very challenging average quality shooter, but I am sure some people will like it so it is good to have it on more platforms.
Bloody marvellous
7/10 - at Sale price, Good! at Full, Bad! Total 8 chapters, about 2.5 hours game play. the Good, Well voiced, nice BGM, & VR mechanics work well. Surprisingly, skiing works well with only head directions. VR worked well on Quest 3 /w VD Streamer. the Bad, Too Short for full price, lacking visuals, with only three enemies types & only two selection of guns with few 'limited ammo' special weapons. the Ugly, Once you get the SMG, ducking, cover-play is out the window Gung-ho SMG till the end. so rinse and repeat same thing over'n over. At promotional price, its worth it. Nice VR interaction movie for a weekend, So only get it at sale.
on the shorter side but is a fun time and has a lot interesting design ideas, especially well made vr cover shooter with mechanics in place for people with disabilities and bad backs
Really enjoyed playing this game. There are however some downsides but the pros outweigh the cons in my opnion. The shooting is really nice and the cover system is also pretty original. the game has an original look to it which i kinda like. Also like the theme of some levels. The ski segments although very cool needs some time to getting used to. Some more weapon variety would have been nice. You only have 2 weapons equipped and can pick up some other weapons with limited ammo (upon which they will disappear when used). Also the game does not track were you are in relation to the game. So if you start in the center and walk around in the room you will be outside you're character. The game is also pretty short I finished the game in less then 4 hours. You can replay the game and see if you can find all the collectibles although this will not unlock anything as far i know. A short but really nice shooter that is definitely worth you're time if the game is at a discount.
Half baked, annoying, buggy mess. Can't even execute the most basic gameplay loop or story correctly.
It is a fun game, must have with the discount
pretty cool hour or two of a quick-paced story that feels like a low-budget action movie in a good way. can definitely tell it used to be a PSVR exclusive in some ways that lead to really interesting decisions, like the cover system (which is shockingly smooth and allows for some slick takedowns without too much risk). well worth a run through.
Very Good Game.
