Changing my review to a positive one. The game isn't perfect but I'm enjoying it. This is my first Forza game. I play Gran Turismo on ps5 and Raceroom, Assetto Corsa and Project Cars 2 on PC. I like the physics. On a G29 it feels nice with stability control off and the other assists turned down. The cars all feel distinctly different, more so in my opinion than GT7. The single player racing is more enjoyable than GT7. In that game you start last and win by half a lap. I'm having more competitive races in this. The AI can be a nightmare at times staying in double file formation well after the start making it hard to pass early in some races. I call it the Forza train. I think the sound could be better in this. I play cockpit view and sometimes struggle to hear the engine even after turning other things down in the mix. The graphics are nice and it runs well after turning off ray tracing. Having it on bombs the fps. It still looks good without it. I play at 1440p native on nearly max settings with no ray tracing and get around 110-130fps. It looks nice and is butter. I could turn ray tracing off and get around 60fps but I aim for a minimum 110-120fps in racing games. There is a bug with DLSS that makes certain trackside objects blurry, it needs an update to fix it but will probably never get one There is no driver profile to keep track of acheievements which is strange. It's not perfect but it's good fun.
The game optimization is not as good as the Forza Horizon series, too bad it don't support frame generation, I'd say it is needed as the game requires a higher end device to maxed out its graphics. But anyway, still a good racing sim from Forza franchise as Gran Turismo won't launch to PC.
Just burn your money at this point (or donate to me...) Seriously though, if you'd like a better racing game, many are out there, Grand Tourismo, Assetto Corsa, BeamNG, &ct. Just don't waste money on this hot pile of steaming garbage.
I've been playing a lot of Forza Horizon 6 and decided I wanted a more realistic Forza experience. I played Motorsport on Xbox a long time ago, so I decided to buy it on PC (since I don't own an Xbox anymore); it was such a terrible idea. The game runs poorly and lacks several graphics options to fine-tune the experience. My Logitech G920 has no force feedback in this game (which is weird since it works perfectly on Horizon 6), and the default key mapping is simply awkward out of the box. I wouldn't recommend it.
