Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 17 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
In Fortune Fragments, you run your own shop as a ‘Foreteller' and guide your customers' fates by reading their souls! Sink in the unique blend of Visual Novel roleplaying and hex-tile based rune building set in the bustling modern-fantasy city of Clearcastle.

Unravel the tangled mysteries brewing in Clearcastle
Having just opened up your Foreteller's shop, you must do your sacred duty and solve the troubles of your wayward customers. Do you console them or give them a rude awakening? Encourage their dreams or make their fears come true? Use their soul stones and your own magical rune fragments to reveal their fate and choose their future actions!

Use your fortune fragments to create magical runes on your board. These runes conduct your power to see into the future, but you have a limited number of turns and redraws to achieve your goals. As you use your powers, you’ll unlock more powerful runes and new fragments you can use!
The customers' souls form different obstacles for you. Sometimes it’s about gathering energy from the board aspects, sometimes it is about revealing things hidden in the darkness.
There can also be sides and aspects that aren’t visible at first glance. You may need to try again, as you learn how the board will react to your actions.
Since you'll be interacting and helping the people of Clearcastle every day as a Foreteller, here is a little about the cast of characters you’ll meet when playing Fortune Fragments. This is only a taste of what’s to come, so if you want to meet the rest, you’ll have to become a full-time Foreteller!

Agatha: An old woman who happens to be your landlady. Cheery and a huge gossip, she’ll help you get settled in to your new place.

Basil: An eccentric young man with a bright smile. Though he’s a bit naïve, he’s well-meaning and tries his best in everything.

Leo: A curious fellow who stumbles into your shop in distress. You take him under your wing, but whether or not you trust him is up to you.

Crow: Caw caw caw caw cawcaw caw caw caw. Caw cawcaw caw caw caw caw caw!

Matheus: A rugged but kind man who’s having troubles at work. Seems like he needs a gentle push in the right direction.

Catherine: A young woman on hard times, trying to reach out to someone who can’t speak for themselves. It’s hard to get a read on how honest she’s being.

Julian: A hopeless romantic tangled in his own hangups. His dates seem pretty alright though!

Amelia: Shy and kind, this young woman is being pulled in multiple directions by those around her. Help her find what path to follow.

Carmen: A member of far-off nobility and trying to climb even higher up the ladder. She’ll ask you for a few favours.
The rest you’ll have to meet yourself in the full version of Fortune Fragments! Who do you think will be your favourite?

I was a volunteer beta tester for the game so i got a free copy and a bit of a head start on playing it. Having spent about 50 hours testing this game (30 in the final version), i still like it. A single play through is about 12 hours. Here is my expert opinion. Fortune fragments combines puzzle game play and visual novel like storytelling in a way that works very well. The puzzles are used to reveal parts of the story, and the story informs you on what optional goals you should prioritize in the puzzles. Or if you are like me, you can decide that nothing is optional and unlock all the secrets. The art style is very pretty and works with the chill sound design to create a relaxing atmosphere. The puzzle mechanics are very fun. Placing hex-tiles to form different shapes starts out simple, but when you have dozen shapes to choose from and have to overlap them to get enough score to complete the level things get challenging. Different levels also have some different mechanics, and often surprises. If you plan carefully and take your time, you can find really satisfying solutions to the puzzles. The story is about the intertwining lives of your clients. They are seeking your foretelling advice for various problems in their lives. Mostly love. Even though i'm not a huge fun of romance stories, the characters are so well written that i could not help but be interested in their stories. You must advice them based on the information you get from the puzzles and from the things you have heard from your other clients. Almost everything is connected to something else. Your decisions will influence the story and ending. The choices form a puzzle of sorts too. I'm on my third play through, and i'm still not quite sure how to get the best outcomes for everyone. The complexity of the story also adds replay value and role playing opportunities. The world building and lore are also fantastic. It is a fantasy world after all. The concept of industrial revolution being powered by new soul magic is really cool. This "Soul punk" setting raises a lot of interesting and deep questions. Some of which i have strong opinions on, but the game manages to present them in interesting ways that make you consider them from multiple perspectives.

Fortune Fragments deserves twice the reviews it has and half the bugs I imagined. Cozy on the surface, sneakily clever underneath. Lovely characterful art, a story with feels, and puzzles that make you feel smart until they humble you. I confidently went to report a "bug" more than once to keep trying and find it was a mechanic. The game was working perfectly. I was the bug. Beautiful, brainy, and highly enjoyable. Play it before everyone else pretends they discovered it first.
I went along with every single one of Leo's revolutionary schemes and got roughly an ambiguous smirk's worth of emotional payoff. I helped overthrow a system for this man. The bare minimum was hand-holding. Devs - a romance route patch would be extremely well received in this household.
Played this game also back in the demo and beta times and I really enjoyed the gameplay, the design, and the plot. I am really happy to finally go through with the rest of the game, and I have been enjoying it a lot. There are some problems with the bugs remaining since the demo, still unsolved, unfortunately. Some are purely annoying (like the glitching rotation of the tiles without even being close to the tile) but some are really making me question my sanity (for example,
the investigator's puzzle where I see the points going to the scale and yet, it's zero in total, or the same puzzle when in the puzzle I have achieved my innocence but the next screen says I still have to retry
. Hopefully, these will be fixed soon, because the game is great and needs more visibility.
The game surprised me in a positive way. At first, it felt a bit challenging, but after getting used to the game, it really pulled me in. I recommend this game especially to players who enjoy solving puzzles and story-driven games. So far, the best parts have been how rewarding it feels to solve the puzzles, the smooth gameplay, and the way the difficulty increases nicely as the game progresses. I have not encountered any bugs or other issues so far.
I bought the game out of support for the devs without much expectations for the actual game and I ended up having a very good time. The game is polished and the puzzles are addictive. The worldbuilding is interesting and the game has a great atmosphere. Usually the story doesn't matter that much to me in games like this, but here there were more than a few moments the choices actually felt meaningful and I'd have to pause to weigh options. The puzzles are cleverly designed and there was enough variance to keep me engaged. After a while I found myself using a couple of favorite runes over and over. I learned some trusted combos that net hundreds of points(?) easily. Despite that, the game offered enough challenge by introducing new mechanics and constraints all the way.
A Charming game with intriguing plot and chill atmosphere. The art style is pretty and suits well for the game. The puzzles make you really think, and the possibility to retry and change the pieces makes them an interesting challenge.
I ended up refunding this game. I would recommend it if you're in it only for the puzzles and not so much the story. If the story really matters to you, as with me, you'll find it frustrating. I discovered upon reaching certain chapters that it is impossible to unlock all the story choices/ content through the puzzles. I repeated the puzzles over and over, trying to unlock all the choices just because I was after the story and it really bothered me to randomly have 1 out of 3 hidden because of RNG with the puzzle pieces received, or the puzzle itself moving the colors around per turn (obnoxious), and so on. No joy.
This game is cool
What a treat of a visual novel. The writing and the world-building were top-notch, and I loved the hex tile placement puzzle gameplay from the fortune reading. Characters had depth and I liked some more than others. I could not be an unbiased fortune teller. Plus I liked how my choices really mattered and how much replayability there is considering different endings I could have gotten. My only criticism of the game is that some of the older characters didn't really look their age; though that is quite minor and didn't impact my immersion. Highly recommend Fortune Fragments! I'm on my second playthrough now. I really like this game, it's original but not unfamiliar. I love the puzzle mechanics, there's a gentle learning curve but also genuine challenge. I would recommend this to people who like puzzle games with story, like Chants of Sennaar. Literally my only complaint is that
Basil's secret was way too obvious and it definitely affected my choices. I guessed his secret the moment I first saw his soul stone, the visual clue was too easy. Perhaps, if there had been something to subvert my initial guess, I might have doubted myself, but as the game went on there was nothing that made me doubt I was correct.
