Fast playing and exciting. Always a fun challenge
The AI makes some odd moves, but it has won a few times, and this is a fun way to get in a quick board game.
If social studies was taught using similar methods, we would be a lot better off as a country. This game is easy to pick up, but hard to master...just like the event it portrays.

Bellissimo e semplice gioco Gmt, trasposizione del gioco da tavolo. La versione digitale ha forse qualcosa ancora da mettere apposto come dare un nome al giocatore umano.
The game's UI is very easy to navigate. In addition the game is very fun! The learning curve is somewhat steep, however, once understood, the game's strategic nature is very enjoyable. Would definitely recommend!
This game is easy to learn, fun, and reasonably quick (I only have 7 hours logged and both learned to play and have played 30 games against the AI). I would highly recommend it. The only issues are that there is no online presence in the matchmaking system so you are limited to playing against the AI (I chronically have a game in the matchmaking but have seen no others) and the AI; while not bad, is not good either (My record against it is 26-4).
It is a Digital Implementation of Fort Sumter
I think this is a wonderful game. I also have the board game, designed by Mark Herman. Of course, it is NOT a wargame, and if you expect a wargame, you'll be disappointed. It's an area control, strategy/points game, a direct port of the board game. The game can be played in 15 minutes or so, but it has a massive amount of depth. The game looks beautiful, plays flawlessly, and the AI is excellent. It also has great, detailed tutorial and can be played online.
Simple, thematic area control. It will entertain for an evening.
I bought this game after Twilight Struggle, cause I wanted some variation. This game is ok-ish... nothing great, but also not too bad. When you are bored and you don't want to play a long complex game this one is challenging enough.
