"Forgotten Knight" is a very poorly made Korean retro RPG that uses traditional RPG mechanics and a CCG/deckbuilding type approach for the actual combat, along with a weak gimmick that changes the combat conditions based on timing and other factors... which makes what should be a fairly simple dungeon bash Slay the Spire ripoff into a convoluted nightmare. There's no English translation for the game, but that's okay. The language of bad games is universal. The graphics aren't great, low quality 3D images and a UI straight out of Windows 95. That's understandably a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. Let's talk about price and the value this represents for us gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. A peak of 2 concurrent players (according to SteamDB) for a "free" game is a disastrous public reception. Out of 130 million potential players here on Steam, almost nobody was interested. Even though this is "free". That level of rejection speaks a lot for the quality of the game. This "free" game won't count toward your game collection count on your profile. With that in mind, is it something you should still download? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
