Better than Diablo 4

First off, I just wanna say that this isn't a bad game. It's a standard ARPG made with a significantly lower budget. Most ARPG's or overly long and monotonous, and this one takes the cake. All you have to do is make your way through four dungeons, each with six floors. That would be fine, but if you want to clear out each floor in its entirety, it takes a while, especially in the last two dungeons. Actually it isn't all that long of a game, but it sure feels like it is. This would be fine except the dungeons are boring. The first three floors are the same map, just turned in different directions, then the last three floors are a different map, but again turned on each floor. This is the case for all the dungeons. To make matters worse, there is very little enemy variety. Probably 10-15 different kinds through the whole game. So the already tedious gameplay of killing monsters over and over, combined with killing the same type of monsters in the same areas makes for a very dull time. Oh, and the enemies are damage sponges too... Plus the game is pretty easy until the last dungeon. In fact, the only time I died was on the final boss cuz he has some crazy attack that took me a couple tries to realize how to avoid it. There was a weird glitch when selling items in the shop (which btw you seem to have unlimited inventory space, which is awesome). The game starting chugging and getting all jumpy, and then my main weapon was gone. I found it in the shop, so I was able to buy it back. I figured I had just accidentally sold it when the game was acting up. But then it happened again later on, and this time I lost my secondary weapon, which was a really great rare item that had three of my best gems socketed into it. This time however, the item was not in the shop. It just disappeared, and just like that, I lost my best weapon. There's a good amount of typos if that bothers ya. Overall, like I said, it's not a bad game, but it's not good either. I wouldn't really recommend anyway going out of their way to buy it. I got it for super cheap, which I suppose a couple bucks is a fair price for it. There's some replay value, where you can start the journey over with your current level and items on harder difficulties, but I don't think I'll be coming back to this one anytime soon, if ever.

While not the worst of these kind of games (simplistic hack'n'slash with nods to classic Zelda titles), it's definitely not the best either. Nothing in the game stands out as remarkable, and most of the game parts feel cheap. Co-op helps, but not that much.

Doesn't hold up in 2022. Story is pretty bland and the controls/combat are very lacking. Game becomes repetitive and a chore after the first hour or so. Has that "It'll get better" feeling until you stop playing. Took me 11 hours to 100% it.

Has some fun ideas and humour, but overall way too repetitive and easy and there's just not much there. The crafting system is interesting, but very quickly makes you extremely overpowered. If you can kill whole rooms and even bosses with a single skill, the game is pretty boring. The UI is also pretty bad and just frustrating to work with. If you're looking for an easy, mindless game to kill some time - this game might be for you. I've been able to enjoy it for that for some hours at least. Otherwise, probably best to stay away.
