Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
The truth is in the details.
In Forensics: Crime Scene Detective, you are the scientific authority that provides investigators with the facts. Your work begins when the sirens fade and silence settles over the crime scene.

With a cool head and a trained eye, you enter apartments, bars, and basements where something unimaginable has happened — or is said to have happened. Equipped with professional tools, you search for what others miss: a subtle fingerprint on a wine glass, a deleted message on a smartphone, a tiny blood spatter that casts doubt on a statement.

From Crime Scene to Laboratory:
Securing evidence is only the beginning. In the lab, the evidence tells its story. You compare DNA profiles, reconstruct bullet trajectories, decrypt digital devices, and piece together fragments into a clear overall picture. Your analyses incriminate perpetrators — or exonerate the innocent. Not every bloody crime scene is a murder. And not everything that seems obvious is the truth.

“Based on the experience and insights of experts from the State Criminal Police Office Rhineland-Palatinate (LKA RLP).”
With professional guidance from the State Criminal Police Office Rhineland-Palatinate, the game portrays forensic work as authentically as possible. Experience cases drawn from real life: sober, logical, and relentless in their evaluation of evidence. Find the traces. Analyze the facts. Reveal the truth.

Realistic Forensics:
Use authentic tools such as DNA swabs, fingerprint powder, ballistic trajectory rods, and digital forensic tools.
16 authentic Cases, Real Methods:
Missions are inspired by real scenarios and based on the experience and insights of real experts from the State Criminal Police Office Rhineland-Palatinate (LKA RLP).
Crime Scene Work & Laboratory Analysis:
The gameplay loop challenges you twice — first through meticulous crime scene investigation, then through logical data analysis in the lab.
Incriminate or Exonerate:
Your work determines the fate of suspects. Discover whether it was self-defense, murder, an accident, or a staged crime scene.
Your Instinct Matters:
You decide which traces are relevant. Overlooked evidence can leave a case unsolved.

I'm a bit disappointed with the game. I was expecting something like Scrutinized in the sense of looking around to find clues and using your instinct to make your conclusion. Turns out it's a rather basic simulator game. I really hope the gameplay complexifies and more cases to solve with less repetition in the near future.

The game is definitely more niche and for players who love to be meticulous. However, thats also one of its strength. It wont give you flashy action or that hero feeling of solving a case, but a realistic and authentic depiction of the job of a forensic scientist. So far the cases have been diverse, solvable, but challenging. I hope I get to experience some more.
The game is actually fun and entertaining if you know what to do or actually read the tutorial, after looking at the other reviews for this game Im guessing not alot of people did that. I hope more people that like this sort of thing find this game so devs can add more levels like dlc or something. I had alot of fun playing this and it is a good game so it sucks to see that people are hating on it cause they aren't that into the genre i guess. the only thing I didn't like was that theres no inventory for a camera or evidence markers.
Decent game, but just if you need help with the Tutorial does a guide someone made, just go on steam It helped me a lot because the Tutorial is pretty useless. The tutorial steps in the actual game, like the missions are pretty tricky. You actually have to use a guide unless you wanna be spending four hours trying to figure out this tutorial
Completed the game (4 tutorials and 14 missions) on Proton/Linux and I had a lot of fun despite some issues/quirks. Disclaimer: Issues I have experienced might be related to me running on Linux or be a PEBKAC issue. - Achievements: Were not unlocked before the final missions (might be something the developers have patched lately). - Marker placement and taking pictures: When multiple evidence were placed close, I often found myself placing marker, taking picture, collect the evidence then removing the marker before continuing with the next evidence. It does take more time than placing all markers before taking pictures. Finding the right angle for the picture also takes considerable time, especially when the evidence is placed on hard to reach places - edge of Line of Sight. - Fingerprint analysis: Analyzing minutiae on some of the latest missions, seem to be incorrect (for instance some junction minutiae were considered weak) General remarks: - There is a balance between realism and game mechanisms related to forensically sound methods and chain of custody. The game could have had different difficulty levels. Evidence collection feels like is implemented as a no-penalty mini-game. - There are inconsistencies in missions where you can open drawers/explore and where you can't. - Little/No replayability. Final remarks: - Devil is in the details. Move slowly and systematically.
Enjoyable game and surprisingly authentic if you know what forensic investigators actually do You can definitely tell the developers worked closely with the German state police to ensure authenticity The only major issue I ran into was the progression bug, but the developers fixed it pretty quickly. They seem really committed to improving the game and I hope they keep it up
I'd give it, will be better in a year. Right now a lot of polishing is needed. Also there is a limit to how much you can polish this project due to it being Unity based. Meaning unless they move over to Unreal you won't get the hyper realistic textures that are supposed to come with this "realistic" simulator. Overall, the game appears to be mostly accurate forensic-wise. -Barely any options or accessability options. -No option to skip the very long tutorial. -No realistic graphics in a want to be realistic simulator. -Constant mentions of: This Police Station is great, feels washed very quickly. 3/10 - ☆✭★★★ Wouldn't reccommend in current time, In my opinion if they work on it, could be relevant in a year or two.
