pretty cool game. if i'm being completely honest the "cursed game" angle fell completely flat for me and i was just enjoying the actual game. the dark fantasy setting was really cool and i loved the early 2000s game aesthetic that was very clearly inspired by popcap. the mechanical depth of the game impressed me, and it was always super satisfying to chain a bunch of jokers together to get an absolutely nasty combo and wipe out half the board in one turn
fun game; not what i expected and it was delightful

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Fun engaging gameplay, interesting story delivery. Fun for a weekend!
Just started New Game+, and fully expect to lose another 8+ hours playing this game. Absolutely love the retro aesthetic, brings me back to the late 80's / 90's DOS based PC Games. Overall a great take on traditional Solitaire, with an engaging story to boot. Highly recommend.

I have played hundreds, probably thousands of games in my life. Forbidden Solitaire is a top ten game of all time for me, and pretty easily at that. The art design, attention to detail, terrific plot, and infectious gameplay loop all come together to make something really special and memorable. It was so fun to progress through this game and see the amazing environments and terrific dialogue. Watching the story unfold was really enjoyable, made better by how the game nails the nostalgic vibe of everything. There are some really creative approaches to solitaire in here, and you get addicted to racking up "wicked" combos. The included "Making Of" doc is also super interesting to read through and see how development progressed. Everything about this project circles back to the feeling that the developers really cared about this project and put a ton of heart into it. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Traded this lore-accurate Solitaire for my eyes, loved every minute of it.
It was a fun and short experience which I appreciated. Look forward to whatever new games this developer creates!
