This game is satisfying in a unique way, its seems to hit nearly every aspect of being a real college coach. The game has a learning curve for sure, with recruiting and what gameplay style works with certain prospects. But once you figure out how the game runs and what works its such a rewarding experience. I'll give it a definite recommendation to try for true college football fans.
sim makes no sense
its fun and chill
Absolutely fantastic game. I have tried a few American Football manager games and this is head and shoulders above its competitors in gridiron, nearing the heights of its AAA competitors OOTP and FM (both of which I have thousands of hours on over the last few years). Honestly the only difference is the lack of 3D model highlights, and that is reflected in the SUBSTANTIAL price difference. Workshop support and options are strong, with real-world names and logos available from the community in a matter of a handful of clicks. The structure of the game, moving through fixed points in each season, lends it a strong "one more turn" pull that has had me up till 3am multiple times in my first week. The systems around play calling, game simulation, recruitment and player development are laid out well enough that they are easy to pick up but not *so* transparent that you can game them easily. Can't recommend strongly enough for CFB fans looking for a management fix, and worth buying for sickos like me who play sports management games for sports they don't like (specifically OOTP, baseball is boring yeah I said it)
I was going to type a thought out review while waiting for the simulation (It can take a while with 180 teams even with a beefy PC), but the #1 recruit on my save just got sniped by a FCS school
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ peak
A breath of fresh air among the vibecoded slop that plagues the sports sim genre. Infinitely replaceable and enjoyable, with great experience customization.
