About

In the high, cold mountains of Lands en Éternité, known as the Uplands, stands an ancient golden temple where a pristine goat-woman and an ancient dragon live side by side, day after day.
The story follows Fonsermónique, a young goat who tries to soothe the weariness of her life partner, Xi Sein, a dragon marked by time, using recipes inherited from her late mother's cookbook.

Fonsermónique's Culinary Diary is a short, linear narrative game where cooking becomes a bridge to the soul. As you prepare different recipes, you'll gather feedback that accompanies Fonsermónique on her personal journey, while you explore the temple in search of ingredients and of the dragon, gradually uncovering the peculiar relationship that binds them through small moments connected to the past.
The story unfolds in the same universe as La Cosa Perdida de Pomme, The Strange Journey of the Couriers, and Memento Morin, set long before the events known as the incident of the Four Nations.

Reviews
a short relaxed story with good music and some nice art.
Short fun lil relaxing game filled with pretty likable characters. Its exactly as advertised, with the biggest selling point to me being the beautiful art style and general polish. It is more or less something along the lines of a snippet of a pretty heart warming relationship between the two leads, some story elements are rather vague moreso in terms of world building, as well as (I believe characters from past games), that's not to say its necessary to play those game prior to this as this is rather self contained, but I do think it helps a fair bit. Many of the dialogue and world building ultimately does leave alot of things up to interpretation, which makes sense given that its predominantly dialogue between a married couple who has known each other for a fair while. And that it wouldn't make too much sense to spew out exposition for the sake of an invisible player. In this the dialogue feels natural and flows well, between two peeps who know and are comfortable with each other. There are answers to these questions however, in the post game bonus room which recontextualize many of the conversations within this game. While I do understand the logic behind it I wonder if there were perhaps a way to incorporate such lore within the game outside the bonus room, perhaps through more interactable objects and clues for the player to piece together the whole story (without making it too obvious). That being said I had fun, and if it looks right up ya alley from the screenshots and trailers, it probably is.
Aaaahhh I loved it so much!! 😭❤️💕 Fonsermónique and Sein are adorable, and it was so interesting learning about the lore in both the story and the bonus room. I really liked the moral of the story and also reading how the inspiration for that moral came from a personal experience. The art is beautiful, both the pixel art of the backgrounds and objects and the character sprites 🥰 The cooking minigame was so much fun; I love games with cooking elements!! Especially when some (or all) of the ingredients are fantasy ✨ I'll be eagerly awaiting the DLC!! 🥰
Seems like a really fun little game, I love the art so much, I would prefer if there was controller support is the only thing I can really complain about. Otherwise I am enjoying my time quite a bit. Hope to finish it soon and update my review.
很可爱的游戏!! 期待点数商店!!!!
Its a short, narrative game thats quite cozy. I love the art and the sprites, its very cute <3 The gameplay is very simple and as of now, there is only 1 entry and 4 more entries are expected to be made. The story is quite wholesome and sweet. Initially I was confused with some aspects of the story (like characters and lore) until I accessed the bonus room and spent time reading everything. I am excited for this game's story to continue and I'm excited to see more of our fav goat and winter dragon additional (personal) comments: [/strike]I was very focused on getting every achievement because I very much enjoy this game however I find myself strugging to find the 'eat wood' achievement, which is on me because I cant figure it out...[/strike] Thanks to the developer for guiding me, the achievement is obtained when you closed all doors! I would love if the author would upload their other games that are of the same universe on steam (if they can), because I'd love to see more of their works on steam.
Another short and fun RPG Maker addition to my collection. Both the visuals and the music are great, the quality is quite above what I expected from someone releasing their first paid game. I like the chemistry between Fonsermónique and Xi Sein, although the story is too short to leave an impression. The gameplay could use improvement, though. Picking an ingredient, clicking "1", "2", or "3", and confirming to use or discard it every time felt tedious. I also think adding a few mini-games when picking ingredients or cooking could make the gameplay more fun. For example, splitting the outer shell of cocoa beans.
short but sweet! It was fun trying to figure out how to get all the achievements.
