Interesting enough little horror. I'm curious to see what this developer does next. It doesn't quite raise the pulse to the point where I'd consider myself scared, but it's certainly a creepy affair. Don't believe my steam time. I left it on a while on pause menu. I don't think I got much more than an hour out of it. The gameplay is straightforward enough (though I must admit it took me proportionally far too long to find the dog!). You walk around rooms, interacting with items or "focusing" on them with the zoom button. It's always obvious enough what you're supposed to do. There are some interesting setpieces introduced later on in the game which are highlights, which I won't elaborate on for fear of spoilers. In short, certainly worth it on sale, there is potential here, and it should keep you entertained for an hour or so.

FM takes inspiration from an older Playstation game called P.T. (Playable Teaser) which was a teaser for an upcoming Silent Hill game. The game has a great premise, homicide-suicide story with narrative as you explore a hallway that leads to distant memories of a story beginning to unfold as you progress. My only gripe with this game is the miss opportunity of making this game very scary, the way that P.T. was. Very few and weak jumpscares where many could have been implemented, however, this does not make the game any less enjoyable to play, it is very short but besides that it is still a fun story to go through. My rating 7/10. If you'd like to watch my video on this game you can see it here with this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPJScyXXp64&t=8s&ab_channel=TheDementor
i know it looks like a another pt rip off but its really good and scary 9/10
Nicely done game with pretty dark story and good atmosphere. Short and cheap. Unfortunately it was really awkward on the technical side though... The focus mechanic didn't work unless I stood in a very specific place in the room. And overall controls had a strange input lag. 7/10 for a good price :D
Definitely not worth it. Any "horror" to the game relies on predictable jumpscares. There are two methods of solving "puzzles", which is a larger number than there needed to be. One is just simply interacting with things, one is having to zoom in on specific objects. The zooming in mechanic was pointless. It didn't enhance the game in any way. Functionally, it was the same as just interacting with objects except being more finicky as I frequently found that even though I was zoomed in on the right object, I needed to adjust where I was standing because it didn't count. The concept for the "puzzles" is that you listen to the radio telling you about the "story" and you're supposed to find a relevant object, but one of the first couple zooming puzzles didn't even make sense. You're in what I assume is a morgue and the radio tells you about how a neighbour heard gunshots, called the police, then went to go knock on the door (instead of, you know, waiting for the police). Logical options for things to zoom in on might be the door or a telephone, but
it was a scale.
Not sure how that was remotely relevant to what I was being told. The story itself was bland and the "plot twist" was as predictable as it was stupid. I got pulled out of any care for anything in the story when it went on to talk about
the grandparents. The children told them frequently about how the dad beat them and how they only felt safe in the dark where he couldn't find them, he's a known alcoholic, and the grandparents "feared for the safety of the family" but... never once thought to get literally any authorities involved? And nothing happened after he beat the mom so bad she had to go to the hospital?
The "twist" was so predictable specifically because the game
constantly went on and on about how terrible of a person the father was and how he was an alcoholic, valued his gun more than his family, and regularly beat them. When you shovel tons of "Look how terrible he is" into the player's face, then he obviously could not have been the one to kill them or else there's literally zero development in anything. Making him the killer in the end would've just been an hour of "This person was terrible, did terrible thing to the surprise of literally nobody in-universe."
As for the voice acting, I unfortunately can't tell if the lines were just delivered poorly by the voice actor himself or if the stilted manner of speaking was done intentionally (possibly not by the speaker himself) as an attempt to get across a sort of distortion or something, but in the end it didn't matter. I don't even know how I have 3+ hours of playtime on this. I completed it in about an hour, but prior to actually playing it had over 2 hours of playtime but not even the achievement you get for going in the first hallway, so I assume I opened it at some point planning to play it but left it running for a couple hours after getting distracted.
ele lembra a atmosfera e a gameplay de Silent Hill P.T., o jogo é beeeemm curtinho, mas o terror que ele causa no jogador acaba compensando isso (e o preço dele também). nota: 7/10
Pretty good for the price.
quite short and not that scary but decent as a thriller
I love this game xD
