The game has a ways to go in terms of content and updates are slow, but it runs well on my mediocre PC and has a better flight model compared to Aerofly. That said, XP11 beats both of these in terms of expandability and it runs much better after the Vulcan update. Still, I think Flyinside still runs better and if you don't have a powerful PC, I can still recommend this game.
This sim for me is meh the sim in vr is so laggy and i wish there was some more addons for the sim. the sim isnt all to bad but it seems like the dev hasnt touched it since the release
The helicopter of VR Edition is too sensitive to operator, only a little slope will give a big action of helicopter,I think it should be modify to robust or not so sensitive. And sometimes I think the helicopter to fly auto.so I think develope a some GPS guide function is neccesary. Can VR Edition to develope a structrue from motion function to recognize the Thrumaster joystick. And using the pedal or straight to supoort the Thrumaster but not certain to see the position of yoke when we wear the gear.Thank you. The network often not to connect and can't see the senery, only seen a black space and the helicopter and the flying can't begin. When in the VR mode, release the controller to slow down the throttle have some shake in the steer,so I think it can make some memory and stable function when we realse the triggle to operate other gear, and it can remain in the previous position.
I think it is a very good flight sim, work still need to be done on it but I use it with my vr and think it works really well
This for realism. Ultrawings for messing about.
I am not a fan of writing negative reviews. Sorry, but this game has not really advanced much in development. I check every few months, but the progress from the developer seems to be dwindling. VR wise it is pretty smooth, but the graphics are kind of basic. For an early access game I can understand the shortcomings, but this game was launched in December of 2018, by now we should have had quite a few improvements, sadly that isn't the case. As the game stands right now I don't recommend it.
This is a wonderful game, so outstanding! I love everything about it. It gives such realistic landscape, all based from satellite imaging! The frame rate is very high. So far no crashes at all, except me splatting an aircraft. I love the Ch helicopter, been on them in real life hundreds of times. The snap rolls on the fighter jet will make you dizzy and want to puke. The ONLY thing missing from this sim is the g-forces. The sim loads so much faster than x-plane and MSFSX, and seems more stable. I give this program thumbs up and the highest rating. Just think, its in early access right now, what will it be a year from now? Very exciting! I think everyone should put this one at the top of the list of VR programs to buy. I tried the demo version from the company website first, then immediately bought it here on Steam. Then a few days later, I went back and bought their addon to MS FSX. The landscape is far more accurate on FlyInside than MS FSX. FlyInside WILL be a HUGE success, no doubt about it. All that do a negative review are from them owning a substandard computer with a piece of crap video card. One can never expect a piece of junk to run any flight sim, this or any other product. You will never get a turd to begin with to perform well. I have a medium-end computer and it runs just great. I love this program!!! I highly recommend it to all.
People expecting this reviewer an opinion on VR, well it won't happen here. My setting is set to monitor mode, not virtual reality. Being a huge fan of flight simulation, Fly Inside was added to my collection. I fly FSX SE, FSW (Flight Sim World), Prepar3D V3-4, X-Plane 11, Aerofly FS2, Combat Air Patrol 2 Harrier, Helicopter Simulator (Lines Studio), WOA: Glider, and much more. I can confirm that committed developer Dan, responded promptly to my question just recently. It was concerning a problem with the activation of the reverse thrust command on the 737's. He confirmed this issue, and would take appropriate measures in the near future. So this proves without a doubt, that Fly Inside is not abandoned by Dev, whatever reviewers might think so. Edit 23/01/24: Reverse thrust is still not operational on 737's. Key bind is not offered in setting menu (control). Direct command with mouse cursor on reverse thrust lever is still inoperative. Upon landing you must have full flaps and deploy air brakes on touchdown. It does work, but reverse thrust would certainly cut down on runway usage during braking. I do not have any crashes on desktop's, sim is very fluid, steady FPS's, and fast loading times. The reason for this trouble free performance might be related to my OS, which is still on stable Windows 7/64 for flight simulation purposes only. Scenery is much improved, thanks to update. Dawn or dusk settings, highlight detailed runway lighting and scenery. FIFS runs very well on low end PC's, such as on my backup computer, again in monitor mode. Laptops owners also confirmed this observation. The biggest value in FIFS besides it's performing software, are the superb Milviz aircraft fleet. Those are premium addons on many platforms, and the fleet itself represent a true bargain. My loyal Thrutmaster T-Flite Hotas X is a perfect match on this sim. Commands bindings were straightforward via intuitive interface menu and stick. A great purchase indeed, whatever negative people think or write...
