Runs like ♥♥♥♥, no idea why a simple program like this have such a terrible performance. Also had it crash on me, so that's nice too.

Exportable 3d meshes with editable vertexes? 3d freeform sketching? You guys are doing god's work. It doesn't build organic shapes like oculus medium, it builds vehicles and it's extrapolations. Great tool for first drafts on vehicle models, or nice looking models for a vr home space. This application doesn't offer anything more than basic export, but with some finesse I've heard it's possible with blender to change the format. Only one negative bug was a time when sketch lines were being skewed and mirroring as well. manually editing with the axis/plane moving tool fixed this issue, after copying the fixed file I did not experience the issue. out of 2 hours of gameplay, I spent the first half hour sketching, the next 20 or fewer minutes on the bug, and the rest finishing the sketch and adding some rudimentary paneling, or surfaces. here's what I made with a picture guide: https://i.imgur.com/1ZPiKfp.jpg

flyingshapes is Not Free, this is a Free 30 day Trial, then you have pay to subscribe, VR CAD software. It worked on my HTC Vive, sounded ok, played ok, looked ok, was understandable. You have to register for an account on devs website, then login to the software. Then they want you to get an appointment to meet a sales rep that explains the software to you. There is a manual in a link on steam store page and they have youtube videos. You have to split your control of the software between the monitor and your VR HMD. Could not find Delete or Erase in VR controls. There is no ready made shapes or Lines tools. I didn't have any problems with using my Vive controllers. Needs In-VR scripted tutorial and help manuals. The UI textures on the VR controls are hard to see and understand. Might work better, if you import a CAD project file from another program, then work with it in VR. Update 22 August 2024 = Tried this again on my new Win 11 system with Index. Not able to even enter the program, locked behind a username and password screen on the desktop. I might have an account but don't remember the password. This VR program on steam does not work, logins don't work. You can go to the website Flyingshapes dot com and login there, then download the program there. Maybe try this, if you have a business need for this CAD software, but there might be better CAD software in VR somewhere else.
