The game mechanics in Fluffy Sailors are something new and refreshing! I just hope they can sell enough copies to work on controller and ui improvements, a story+plus mode after completion, an expansion DLC, or multiplayer modes! Such a great game out of nowhere. I found out about it through the Steam Next Fest 2025 and glad I grabbed a copy.
Simple sailing roguelike. The controls are not my favourite as you shoot with both mouse buttons, one for each side, but it is really hard to remember which side is which after you turn the camera. I wish it were like a camera base, like in AC Black Flag, where I look, where I shoot. All in all, if you like a sailing-based roguelike, here it is.
One look at my avatar should tell you all you need to know about how I feel about this game.
Sir Mouse's Pirates!
Without the governor daughters and ballroom dances. With the Queen mouse and furry cannonballs.
Entertaining gameplay and cute graphics. Great variety of enemy ships with cool designs and individual pros/cons. Currently one of my favourite games for casual late night gaming before going to bed.
It's fun, cute, replayable for at least a handful of hours, and the price is reasonable. Fluffy Sailors is a good roguelite run-based arcade game. You are intended to fail, upgrade, improve your fleet, capture new ships, and eventually succeed with a combination of your game skill and the upgrades you unlock. There's a fun selection of ships that perform differently -- each with strengths and weaknesses. A good selection of maps and challenges, enough to entertain you for a while, and delight with many cute animals.
It is fun game to kill time. You play as mouse that has to bring the chef back. Easy to play, has endless mode after campaign few variations of ships. And you use mice as ammo.
A VERY fun game to play trough with an interesting plot to save the Rat Queen's Chef, as you try to beat your ways to two areas only to reach the last boss who's quite challenging especially with the amount of respawning of enemies to EAT you! Or the ones hit and running to come back again for a smack, either mines overflowing the squish area in hopes to BLOW you up! As you try to destroy the main building to free the Chef. Surely its going to be impossible to finish this entire game in one go, even though it should be possible but quite hard and as i daringly said before even challenge everyone to try finishing this game in one go, for the last bit is not possible to do so. Nonetheless, the Game offers a variety of enemies whom you have to face, from fellow Mouse Pirates, to Cats, to Badges, to Ducks and more anmials. But as said before id deffo would like more animals like Elephants or Pandas! Cause who doesn't like em? Of course each animal has its own ship whom you have to fight, they all got their ups and downs with their very own ship type like the Catamaran! So do not worry if you lose the first attempt, as you will certainly have to do quite a few attempts! In hopes to beat the game, but as you do so. The game gets easier, for you get perk like points to spend them on persk which can help you along the way. Making it easier. Just like an MMORPG game. Can't beat a certain mob or boss? Get better gear by dying and retrying! However...Id love if the game offered your ship to looks different or gets bigger even more powerful with strenght, size and look overall as you unlock perks. Especially since not all of them are...Worth to pick. Just like how it would be nicer if there were also two more different soundtracks added, for it lacks a bit of variety within my opinion. Plus sounds of animals getting shot out the cannon! Since some animals have similar ones... Further on the invisble wall should not just block your ship but also the ammo, in hopes that you can get it back. I had no lag nor crash issues personally, it runs smoothly. Graphics are catchy and adorable. OVERALL! The game deserves an 8 out a scale from one till ten. A pat on the creators shoulder for its worth any money so that anyone can play the game and enjoy it! My hopes are that there shall be more added *Cough* DLCS *Cough*
