Flashout 3 is without a doubt a visual and conceptual rip-off of WipeOut. Yes, I know you can’t copyright a premise, but everything from the ship designs to the game modes and even the hex-designed menus seem to be daring Sony to take legal action. Apparently, since the game is still around a year later nobody cares, so let’s just enjoy this awesome anti-grav racer. Loaded with content, Flashout 3 offers a campaign series, instant race, and even split-screen racing for couch competition, and yes, you can split the screen either way. There are five race modes including; Standard, Destruction, Elimination, Time Trial, and Speed Lap; again, all the exact same modes from WipeOut. There are four speed classes that span across an unlockable garage of nine ships, each with three variations that can equip up to three devices like weapons, defensive gadgets, or just good old shields and armor plating. Items have power consumption ratings, and your combined power cannot exceed the rating for your chosen ship, which can lead to serious contemplation when customizing your ship or even choosing a different ship with more power. Flashout 3 remains a thrilling rollercoaster of a racing game, with a slick design and plenty of content. The game starts a bit slow, but makes for chaotic entertainment when you get familiar. Handling is fairly standard to your typical AG racer with steering, pitching, and airbrakes. The face buttons hold three powerup slots that can be equipped with weapons, utilities, or specials that are limited by the power capacity of your chosen ship. Ships scale up in performance over the course of the campaign, with each section of career dedicated to a speed class. Track designs are quite twisty but fairly short at, about a minute or less in length. The combination of twisting, technical circuits and unrelenting, explosive combat will really push the limits of your focus, especially when the speed ramps up and you're left juggling the racing line and gunplay, at least at higher difficulties. AI are somewhat predictable. They'll use weapons at regular rates, posing a threat at all times, while maintaining speed and racing lines, making for a consistent challenge. Though, like any bot, they'll get annoying if you mistime your attempt at the finish line while on low health. I like the aesthetic of this game for the most part. It's a little to loud, but it has the right energy for me to have fun, even as a single player. A little disappointed that there is no multiplayer, but with the amount of combat involved in this installment; I can see it being a detriment to the experience with human players fragging each other every 5 seconds. There are a few bugs, but the devs look ready to patch them if you submit feedback. Sometimes the ships will hitch on the track, especially on Buried Temple, but the game does a decent job of preventing you from getting completely stuck should track boundaries fail. Overall, I enjoyed the game.

передоз
