FIST OF AWESOME

Perhaps I'm biased, but this is among my childhood favorite games! I remember first encountering it on Miniclip or a similar platform in elementary or middle school and thinking I'd give it a quick go. I'm not entirely sure of how exactly I came to find out about its existence, but I'm nevertheless glad I did. That said, perhaps it's just the nostalgia in me speaking, but everything about this game made it perfect for its time: It was (and still is) challenging, witty, comedic, and flippant in all the best ways! The combat system is intuitive and straightforward and all fights seem relatively fair. Every time I was defeated, I knew that it was because I made a mistake and not necessarily because of any fault inherent to the game or its creators. However, of everything about this game there is to appreciate, be it the humor, bear fights, characters,, story, etc., the one thing that has always stuck with me for years was the soundtrack. Even the title screen music is amazing! Honestly, I get that it's probably not as "polished" as traditional A-list titles, but given it was made back in around 2013 or so, I'd say it's a gem and a product of its time nonetheless. The only real downside I ever experienced with the game was the fact that it would sometimes glitch and make progression functionally impossible, although an important thing to mention is that this was on Miniclip and other third-party websites, so I can't say for certain whether the same is true for the Steam version. Overall, if you're looking for some silly fun with a fairly tame difficulty curve, it doesn't hurt to give it a try. I know some other reviews are critical, but it's free and might just give you a laugh (or a cry, depending on how nostalgic you tend to be).

Loved this game a simple pixelated beat 'em up that remind me of the old arcade games like TMNT & the simpsons. got this because Markiplier played it 8 years ago & its a fun way to kill an hour ^^

Управление отзывчивое, каждый удар чувствуется, а комбо-атаки приносят истинное удовольствие. Сюжет, хоть и прост, как и положено жанру, отлично справляется с задачей задать тон — спасение мира от нашествия ужасных монстров. Прокачка персонажа добавляет глубины, позволяя экспериментировать со стилем боя. Музыкальное сопровождение — отдельная тема, оно идеально дополняет динамику происходящего. Единственное, что может немного расстроить — это некоторая однообразность уровней, но это, скорее, дань уважения классике. В целом, "Fist of Awesome" — это качественный, драйвовый и просто очень веселый экшен, который стоит попробовать всем, кто ностальгирует по золотой эре видеоигр или просто ищет, как выпустить пар с кулаками наперевес.

Fun, but very simple beat 'em up game. And I stress very simple. Played through it one beat it in under 2 hours. I also do not thing I am ever going to play it again.

Would you like to press the same button against the same enemies and same bosses for 20 minutes straight, with a bit of wasd and punch kick punch infinites for some spice? Huh? No? How about some every expanding enemy healthbars to make things last EVEN LONGER? No? What if we gave you the choice to upgrade your damage (the correct option), health, speed (the useless stat) or upgrade damage, but only for a single move? Still no? Shocker.

I fought many bears of many times, even in the nude. fist felt awesome and bears felt the awesomeness :D
