Ever wanted to punch a bear IN THE MOUTH? FIST OF AWESOME asks the eternal question "what would happen if bears took over the world?" and answers it with the epic tale of a lumberjack travelling through time punching bears in the face to save humanity.

This game is a by-the-numbers, simple beat-'em-up game. It's a bit repetitive, but I finished it on both easy and hard in under 3 hours, so it's not like you're investing much time. The game is free to play, though, so it's honestly worth dropping a little bit of time into it if you're looking for something quick in the genre. The controls are simple, especially if you ignore the front/back kicks that are virtually useless compared to punching, making it really easy to pick up and play. It also has some amusing jokes throughout it. Other than the repetitiveness of the game (only really two enemy types throughout), the main drawback is the grindiness of the achievements. The majority of the achievements are "kill X bears", "play X arena games", or grind XP to level up every arena character to max.

If you enjoy knocking the crap out of bears, this is for you! It's free, so get it!
Just play it through on easy for a quick laugh.
I got to kick a bear in the nuts
https://youtu.be/R7AFLwDoyY0 Landing just enough jokes and puns allows for an otherwise straightforward side scrolling brawler punch above it's weight.
Fist of not so awesome
This game freezes a lot when I play this on Steam Deck
